![]() Author has written 17 stories for Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Inception, Kane Chronicles, and Gargoyle Legends Series. Nov 10: I'm very sorry for not updating CotU. I'm very busy with college right now. My goal is to get the next chapter done over Thanksgiving Break, so please bear with me 'til then! Oct 14: I apologize for not updating CotU as quickly as I thought I could. College classes have been taking up most of my time. Even on the weekends, I'm one of the people who stay in and study instead of going out and partying because I'm here on scholarship. But I want to make sure people who read this know that I'm not abandoning the Death God Alliance AU just because of recent revelations in the House of Hades. I am not writing any spoilers here, or in CotU, but if you've read House of Hades already, or heard spoilers from other people, you probably know what I mean. Also . . . I am not Rick Riordan. Apparently there has been some kind of conspiracy theory going around that I was because I used the term 'House of Hades' in a fic I wrote three years ago, and now because people think I made up flash-bangs, which are used at one point in House of Hades, and were also used in one of my fics. I don't even remembering writing the term 'House of Hades' but if I did, it was probably meant in the context of 'the family of Hades,' or 'the bloodline of Hades.' Kind of like how 'House of M' refers to Magneto's family. Not his place of dwelling or temple. And flash-bangs are a real thing. Not something I made up. In conclusion, if you have a problem with the things revealed in House of Hades, don't send me hate mail meant for Rick Riordan. If you want to waste your time writing crap like that, that's your choice, but leave me out of it. Don't make me waste my time opening your garbage. Sept 27: I just posted a mini-chapter for Children of the Underworld. It's all I've have time to write since my last update. College work has caught up with me, sadly. But I have some free time this weekend, so I'm working on the next chapter immediately. In the meantime, please check out TartKiwiFruit's amazing manga-fied version of a scene from the last chapter: the scene where Leo's trying to find Hazel and singing. She did a wonderful job, so please check it out! The links are right below. http:///art/Children-of-the-Underworld-1-399535523 http:///art/Children-of-the-Underworld-2-399535456 http:///art/Children-of-the-Underworld-3-399535567 http:///art/Children-of-the-Underworld-4-399744056 And finally, some hints for what Nico's planning: If you don't want hints, please stop reading here. The information that tells how he can bring Hazel back to life can be found in one of the short stories in Rick Riordan's book, The Demigod Files. The clues for the exit he's planning on using are in another one of my fics from the Death God Alliance series. Good luck! Sept 16: I've gotten busy with college stuff, but I hope to have the next chapter of Children of the Underworld up next week. I am, or will be in August, a pre-med student in college. After a senior year that was complete hell, I am so glad to have high school behind me, it's not funny. My current fic, Children of the Underworld, was delayed because after an extended hospital visit, I made the decision to devote all my time to trying to repair my GPA so that I could still graduate with honors. But I'm back now, so work on CotU continues. :) My favorite authors are: Heather Fleming, author of The Gargoyle Legends series and The Facade novellas, which can be read free online Rick Riordan, author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, and Heroes of Olympus (and a short story that crosses them over called "The Son of Sobek") JK Rowling, author of Harry Potter and The Casual Vacancy I should probably add some dead white guys to this list so as to give the appearance of being educated, but nothing I've read by any of them can top these three. My Fics Percy Jackson/Kane Chronicles (The Death God Alliance AU, in Chronological Order) The Death Gods Alliance (Complete) Nico is caught up in the problems of the newly unleashed Egyptian gods and the House of Life magicians who seek to imprison them again, after a chance encounter with Sadie and Carter Kane. An enemy's spell gone wrong ultimately ends up making Nico the not-so-human vessel of the Egyptian death god, Anubis. And Percy, thanks to his dreams, realizes that Nico is in trouble and becomes determined to help his friend. With a group of fanatic magicians hunting Nico, Sadie, and Carter, Hades ready to declare war on the House of Life, and a prophecy about the apocalypse on the rise, things are bound to be interesting, especially now that everyone's got a double dose of death to deal with. The inspiration for this fic came from an image that popped into my mind of Nico and Anubis locked in an intense game of Mythomagic, playing on top of a sarcophagus in the middle of a graveyard. LostBeyondReason, one of the very talented people who read this fic created a fanart of this image, which you can see by following the link below. And another fan art for this fic: http:///art/Tiger-Fish-245941066 Escape From Camp Half-Blood (Complete) Sequel to The Death God Alliance. Sadie and Carter are accidentally picked up by a demigod extraction team and taken to Camp Half-Blood while Percy and Nico are there for spring break. To complicate things even further, the Hunters arrive, with Thalia on a mission: to discover why Bianca can no longer watch over Nico because something (Anubis) is blocking her connection to him. And then, because Nico, Percy, Sadie, and Carter don't have enough problems, campers and Hunters start turning up dead. Now they have to work fast to prevent another inter-pantheon incident from occurring if the Kanes' identities are discovered, and to keep any more of their friends from dying before they uncover the killer's identity. Nico's Quest (Complete) Thanks to Anubis' ritual going wrong, while Sadie and Carter are off saving the world in Throne of Fire, Nico is stuck in the Duat, dodging dangers, saving Bast's skin, and most importantly, finding Sadie the perfect birthday present. Crazy Feelings (Complete) Nephthys is Anubis' mom. Nephthys possessed Zia. Anubis possessed Nico. Now where does that leave Zia and Nico? They're not sure, but they're trying to figure it out. And it's not easy. Zia finds herself fretting for Nico's safety, and Nico is having a hard time coping with someone being so protective of him. Both of them have been a little warped from hosting their respective gods, and both have a void where their memories of their families are supposed to be. One night, after a mission gone wrong, and a bitter of the argument, the two manage to find some common ground. (no shipping, unless you count the scene where Zia's ogling Carter. Only family-ish love between Nico and Zia) Breaking The Gods (Complete) Nico infiltrates a boarding school that's been conducting experiments on demigods, and discovers a plot far more twisted than anything he ever expected. Cut off from Percy and Camp Halfblood, as well as Anubis and the Kanes as they struggle in their fight against Apophis, Nico must turn to a new ally, the Roman demigod Jason Grace, if he has any hope of surviving. Children of the Underworld (In Progress) Percy Jackson, Other Fics
(In progress) (Crossover with The Gargoyle Legends) After leaving Camp Half Blood after Bianca's death, Nico di Angelo was all alone, with no money, no one to turn to, and no reason to live. It was a one in a million chance that he'd run into Abdiel St Jude, one of the few people who knew what he was going through. But every now and then, when things seem like they can't get any worse, fate sends someone to help you through it. I've wanted to write a crossover fic between Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Gargoyle Legends for awhile now, specifically one that involves two of my all-time favorite characters: Nico di Angelo, and Abdiel St. Jude. The two of them are a lot alike. Both of them grew up without their fathers and lost their mothers, but what hurt them the most was losing their sisters. For Nico, it was Bianca, who really did die. For Abdiel, it was Eden, who was actually still alive, but the people who adopted Abdiel made him think she was dead, and worse, made him think that it was his fault. Both Nico and Abdiel left their innocence behind when they lost their sisters, and started down two separate dark paths. My idea for a fic was for their paths to cross several times, the first time being on the night Nico lost the only person in his life that mattered. Because Abdiel is one of the few people in the world (world of literature at least) who I think could have gotten through to Nico that night, and helped him find the strength to find his way. I've tried to write this fic in a way so that you don't need to have read The Gargoyle Legends in order to enjoy it, but if anyone would like to look into them more, you can find info on the books and sample chapters of them at:
(Oneshot, complete) Nico falls in love with Burger King's new Summer Barbeque menu and drags Percy and Annabeth along for the ride. Greeking Out (Oneshot, complete) Jason's obsession with Greek war movies and Tristan McLean threaten to drive Octavian over the edge when Tristan McLean is cast as the lead of King of Sparta. I got the idea for this one while writing Breaking The Gods, and made a few casual, joking references to Jason being a King of Sparta fanboy . . . and of Octavian trying to strangle Jason for geeking out over that movie one too many times. (The plot and dialogue that I was using for King of Sparta is actually from a historical fantasy novel I was trying to write last year. Or mostly from it. I tweaked the dialogue to make it more melodramatic and war-movie-like, lol) Artemis Fowl Human Anomalies (Complete) An Artemis Fowl fic, set between Opal Deception and The Lost Colony. Holly learns that Artemis is in the hospital because he just had his appendix removed. She thinks he's dying because fairies need their appendixes in order to survive, so she flies to him at full speed, hoping to get a chance to say goodbye, but obviously this meeting does not go the way she plans. I labeled this as a hurt/comfort and a friendship fic though some people have told me they think it should be romance. I think Holly and Artemis are going to make an adorable couple too (and I'm really hoping that in the next book we get to see Holly and Minerva get in a catfight over Arty!). So anyway, this story can also be considered romance, though it might be more accurate to call it pre-romance, since it takes place slightly before puberty sets in for Artemis, and though Holly is willing to admit that she loves Artemis here, she doesn't yet see him as the great catch we all know he is. At least this is how I see things in my mind, but feel free to interpret their behavior however you like. Fake (On hiatus) A "What if" story. Artemis's memories don't return in the Opal Deception, even after he watches the message that he sent himself on the disk. He realizes that his friends are depending on the person he used to be to come up with a plan to save them, and so he pretends to be that person because he knows that there is no other way to gain their confidence in his tactical abilities. But his lies make him feel sick, because he also realizes that "his" friends are really his original self's friends, and that he's not that person anymore. He's pretending to be the person they care about to save their lives yet somehow this makes him feel worse than ever before. Inception Monochrome (Complete) "How did I not know that?" asked Cobb. "Why didn't you say something?" "You never asked," was Arthur's curt, cliched reply. Arthur has a secret he's been hiding his whole life. One that some people would see as a handicap, but that let's him know, without a doubt, whenever he is dreaming or in the real world. Obscure and Lonely (Complete) When Arthur and Cobb met, Cobb specialized in subconscious security. Arthur was already an extractor. They found themselves at odds when Cobb agreed to perform one extraction. Why? Because the person he was trying to extract from was Arthur. Cobb had no idea what he was getting himself into, but quickly finds out. Arthur has extracted the location of then obtained the hard evidence needed to bring down the largest human trafficking operation the US has ever seen, and Cobb's employer is at the center of it. Now Cobb has to figure out how to get Arthur's neck out of the noose and keep his family safe at the same time. Coming soon: The Fringed Lid: On a job in Japan Cobb and company cross paths with their favorite young extractor again: Arthur Pendragon. But in a world as small as the world of Inception such chance meetings are never coincidences, and Cobb, Mal, and Eames quickly come to believe that Arthur is there to extract from the mind of the man they're there to train against extractors. They prepare for a battle of wits, but Arthur has something else on his agenda. |
