Emily Beth. 23. Female. British.
English is my first language, and because I'm from the UK, some of the phrases and spellings I use may look or sound different to what you know or recognise, and for this, I apologise.
I like when people tell me when they like or dislike something in my work, because it helps me to improve my writing style and skills. I take on board what has been said, and I remember it the next time I write and edit a piece. I aim to make my work the best that I can.
The Harry Potter fandom is the only one I write about, and when I started writing fanfiction, I started with the pairing I loved the most. Rose and Scorpius. They were all I wrote about, and I still have many pieces that are unpublished and just for me to savour, but after a while, my work started to get repetitive. The same plots and the same personality traits kept appearing, amongst other things, and because I'd moulded them into what I wanted them to be, I didn't want to change that.
At that point, I realised that I needed to step back from them and broaden my horizons, and when I looked at other characters and ships, I found so many that I could use and love just as much as Rose and Scorpius.
Now, I write about whoever I want to write about, my favourite characters being in the Marauders or the Next Generation eras, where little is known about them and I have more freedom and flexablity with what they like, and how they act, and more importantly, who they fall in love with.
