If you're reading this, then you probably forgot to take the left turn at Albuquerque. But since you're here, I'll go ahead and tell you a little about myself. I'm a fangirl sadly pushing forty who's in the middle of a completely unexpected fic binge, having penned three stories in the past 13 months alone after having done that many in the previous 14 years combined.
As of right now (3/13), I'm 170 pages plus into a novel-length fanfic focusing on my favorite G.I. Joe character. (Sorry, not telling who it is in the event that it doesn't get finished.)
Update (10/16/13): My huge G.I. Joe story is unofficially complete, "unofficial" in that it's awaiting the long editing process, but I'm putting it away for a month or so in order to focus on writing more film-related stuff (I also write for a movie website). 300 pages, nearly 200,000 words and 42 chapters. It's easily the most ambitious thing I've ever written in my lifetime. It's a full-length "autobiography" of one Joe character (I'll tell you right off the bat that it's not Snake-Eyes) that will remain a secret until it's posted on here - along with my aforementioned other Joe short story - in 2014.
Update (11/7/13): I've finished the first of my two brief MK fics, a six-pager that will be edited as soon as I finish the second, which is still in progress. After those are out of the way, I hope to pen one last GI Joe fic, a quick drabble on another of my fave characters, then that's it for awhile.
My favorite stories to read at this time are from MK and GI Joe, the two most beloved fandoms of my youth. I enjoy well-written stories of any kind with proper formatting, wordplay, and especially correct spelling and punctuation. The last two are especially important; without them it's impossible to get invested in a story no matter how expertly plotted it is.
Update (1/26/14): Busy, busy, busy. Sigh. My novel-length story is in the midst of the very long grind of editing and a couple more chapters will probably have to be added. I hope to start getting it up here by summer or after everything else has been posted, whichever comes last. My short GI Joe fic is still in the can, as is the first of my two MK fics and both just need final touches, but the second MK fic is still ongoing and it's been slow as I've been blocked off and on with it. There's just not enough hours in the day to tackle everything.
In the meantime, I'll be lurking and leaving a review here and there. See you around.
