August 2022:

Well, would you look at that I was able to reach the goal to complete A Dragon's Roar and The Slytherin Reformation. I'm now down to one active story though I do have ideas and outlines of countless others. And may have even begun writing some early stuff for them. However, I'm still going to try to put an emphasis on The Red Reign for now. I recently put up a poll asking you all what family name you wanted Jon and Dacey to have. So if you have a preference then don't forget to vote.

Thanks for all the support you all have given me. It really means a lot and it's why I'm still here writing all these years later.

More thoughts on Fanfiction:

Part of the reason why I write fanfiction is because I just don't have the dedication, time, creativity, genius to create something new and inspiring. With fanfiction, I am a child playing or in this case writing in a world created by literary giants. I'm traipsing in their carefully crafted world which they've sunk so much of their time into building.

Thank you for giving us such wonderful worlds, stories, and characters. I only write for fun and will never try to make money off the work of others. This is your world, but thanks for giving us a chance to stay in it a little while longer.

I want to give my thanks to all the talented authors on this site in all its fandoms who spend their time, effort, and energy to deliver us so many wonderful and compelling stories at no cost to us. I’ve spent countless days and nights consuming a treasure trove of amazing stories that deserve prominent places on my bookshelves.

I've found so many great stories on this site that deserve places among some of my other favorite works of fiction and non fiction. Your stories have often been the push or solace I needed when my own writing was filled with struggles or lulls. It was a balm and a treat to just sit back and consume so many creative and well written stories. I'm extremely grateful to the authors who have shared their amazing gifts with us for free. It really is incredible how much work and time they've invested into telling us these stories. We are very lucky. Thank you for entertaining me.

My writing:

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not that great of a writer. I still have a lot to learn. So thank you for your patience.

My writing style: The general focus of my stories are on the characters, their interactions, and exploring friendships/relationships.

-Characters first, coherent plot is like third or fourth.

I don't want to label my stories as simply one genre, b/c that's not true, but they do take inspiration from the Slice of Life style.

In my stories the plot will plod and sometimes outright pause for a chapter or a few. Sometimes you probably won't even able to recognize a coherent plot. Or it won't be addressed or it'll conclude in some anti-climatic way. I'm just going over all the possible scenarios that my stories can fall into to warn you.

My style/structure is terrible, but I've come to terms with it. I'm just here to have fun.

I'm not adhering to the proper or any good formula. I just go where the muse and interest takes me.

So if you're interested that's great and I'm honored you'd invest the time in my writing. If not I don't blame you and I wish you the best of luck in finding the stories you're looking for.

To Bioware: I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for them for creating two of my favorite fandoms-Mass Effect and Dragon Age, not to mention KOTOR. Won’t say much on ME3 for obvious reasons, but they created characters and worlds that I couldn’t ignore once the games were over.

Fanfiction Appreciation: 12 Years

I'm amazed I've been on this site for twelve years now! So much has changed in that time, my gratefulness for finding this site has never been stronger. I'm humbled by the feedback my stories have gotten in that time and thankful for the people I've encountered. It's always so great to talk characters, stories, and fandom with people who share a similar passion.

I'm slowly going through some of my older stories to edit and revise them. The ones I'm working on now are A Chance Encounter and I will Rise.

Some Finals Note:

I do not take requests. Do not message me asking about it or leave reviews asking me to do them. These will be ignored.

Please, do not message me asking for updates. I appreciate the passion and investment, but they won't be answered. It's like being reminded to clean your room just as you're about to do it. I just don't find it very helpful. Weird, right?

I'm humbled by the attention that my stories have gotten and I remain dedicated in writing/finishing them. I just need some time.
