Author has written 1 story for Hollyoaks.
If you've been compelled to check out my profile its probably because I posted a review for something you've written! So I thought I should at least do you the courtesy of telling you a little about myself.
I tend to take the trouble to review those stories I've enjoyed. For those which I don't enjoy, for whatever reason, I usually remain silent. I hope that my reviews are constructive and that any criticism comes across as constructive. I try to accentuate the positive in a story and will only refer to errors which recur and which have a negative effect on my enjoyment of the story. My particular bugbears are bad spelling and poor use of grammar. But I would never want to stop someone from writing more stories just because spelling or grammar is not their forte! The answer is to use a good beta-reader. I'm always happy to read through a draft should you wish!
My background is that I trained as a Chartered Accountant (USA = CPA) after taking a Business & Finance degree. I spent 20 years in retail, commerce and the NHS before making a massive change and becoming a pub manager in the Midlands. Its a 7 day a week job that I enjoy enormously because of the opportunities it affords to interact with many hundreds of different people.
I have always read voraciously from when I was about 8 years old and my interests are extensive. Just about the only genre that I avoid is horror and my particular favourites would be historical (military especially) and fantasy. Fanfiction is a comparatively recent addition to my interests having found my way here from following the John Paul McQueen/Craig Dean story in Hollyoaks and more recently Aaron Livesy in Emmerdale.
