Well hello there:) My name's Miranda. Mirder is a nickname, I guess. I'm an aspiring writer, so this is kind of like my creative outlet.
I consider my intellect to be above average. But what does that really say, considering even idiots live under the delusion that they are not such. I am, to put it frankly, quite the smartass. There is no nicer way to put that. I'm not proud of myself, only my capabilities. I can be snarky, but I tend to keep that at bay because, and forgive me if this sounds a tad too pageant for you, you only live once. And I would rather spend my one life bringing joy than pain. However, that is not to say that I don't find myself in situations where I consider my "one life" philosophy extremely depressing. But that's life, and who am I to unload mine unto you?
I'm an atheist, but I was raised Catholic. I don't have any objections to people sharing their personal beliefs, or their feelings about mine. It really doesn't even bother me when people tell me I'm wrong, or when they try to convert me. What annoys me is when people assume that, just because I'm atheist, I'm some kind of devil-worshipper. Let me make something clear: Being an atheist means I don't believe in the devil, either. Thereby making it impossible for me to worship him. Just because I'm an atheist, doesn't mean I don't have morals and principles. I'm not an atheist because I think it's cool, or because I think it will help my "rebel image." I am an atheist because, as much as I'd like to, I can't wrap my mind around the concept of a higher being. And that kind of scares the bejezzus out of me. (Haha! I love that word!) :)
I love birds. Not like I'm a bird watcher or anything. I don't travel the world for bird watching. I don't bird watch. I just love birds. I love what they represent. Freedom. Beauty. Love. Happiness. Peace. It's all overwhelmingly, amazingly incredible. It makes me want to believe in the impossible. It makes me want to fly. It makes me want to live.
If you like my stuff, review and subscribe! Yeah. I know. I'm demanding;) I'm open to critiques. Compliments are always great, too:) If you review, I'll respond. I'm kind of ashamed to put this here, but I feel it has to be said. There is a difference between critique and insults. So, if you are just feeling particularly spiteful, write out your feelings in a story. Make yours better than mine! But, with all due respect, don't give me a review just to insult me. Corrections. Advice. Compliments. Those are the things I live for. Insults. Not so much. I'll still respond, even if you're mean. But the rudeness really isn't necessary. If you think my story sucks, don't read it! That is as simple a solution as any. Okay, rant over. ;)
I've decided to start taking requests. You know, someone (maybe YOU) likes the way I write, or the ideas I come up with and has a fanbase they'd like to read my perspective on. Heres my...is repertoire the right word to use here? Oh well. Here's a list of things I am aware of:
