I just wanted to let everyone know once again that the message below still applies (It's been a while since I've updated). I have decided that I am going to complete Innocent Magic before I post the rest of the chapters, or at least have a decent amount done. Amnesia's next chapter has just been posted and I'm working on the next chapter. I have a couple of other projects on the side that I'm doing, but those won't be posted until their done. Again, thanks for sticking with me. :D
I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing that I'm still working on these pieces... you should expect an update this month... blah blah blah. Yeah, that just isn't working for me. I have the next chapter of Innocent Magic almost complete. It just needs a few tweaks before I'm happy with it. Magical Enlightenment will be put on hold until Innocent Magic is finished. Amnesia will continue to be updated, and is almost done.
On that note, I'm sure you have all noticed that I changed my pen name from Misting Rain to Senna Sylvan. This is because when I first made the account, I was just entering tenth grade. I had only recently found the site, and had no idea what I should use as an account name. Senna Sylvan fits me a little more now that I'm out of high school. It's an anagram. :) Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you for sticking with me.
View on Flames: I like them. If you don't like my work, but you can't put the words to it, or it hurts your eyes feel free to flame. It will encourage me to write better, and look at my own work harder. I'll be motivated to find the flaws and fix them, and read my work as a reader, not a writer. (It won't hurt my feelings because I've probably already heard it from my sister. And if I haven't... new eyes are always good!) So flame away!
OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
A moment of silence.
Creative is just the start of insanity. Nothing original comes from a completely sane mind.
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't updated Game Start lately, and it's because it's on hiatus until I have the time and mentality to finish it. Hidden Heritage has been discontinued, or at the most a long term hiatus.
