Author has written 4 stories for Dragon Age, and Elder Scroll series.
I realized that I have never put up a profile here, so I figured I might as well. I'm a fan of RPGs, particularly the Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls series. Those are the worlds in which I write on this site. I also do some original work, but I do not and will not post that online in the foreseeable future.
As for personal details, I'm probably older than you. I've been married for several years and we have a son. I graduated college years ago, with a degree in earth and space sciences. Yes, I love science. Yes, I'm an atheist, and proud of my commitment to reason and reality. If you are defined solely or primarily by your religion, you won't like me and I won't like you right back. I have no respect for religion and it will likely show in my work should the topic surface. I also don't have any problems with "naughty" things like sex, violence, and swearing, and they will definitely also occur in my writing, just as they would in reality. (And a good thing that is, in the game universes I enjoy! Can you imagine them without?!) It's hard to offend me, unless you're being stupid and trying to cram it down my throat to bring me down to idiot-hood. I've traveled the world quite a bit and have a lot of tolerance for anything that doesn't infringe on others, and have gotten decent at communicating across languages, customs, and such.
Aside from DA and Elder Scrolls, George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" is one of my favorite series ever and a huge influence on my writing. If I can ever write half as well as GRRM can, I'll be proud. Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series has also been a favorite of mine since I was young. I think Brandon Sanderson's doing a fairly good job of finishing it up after RJ's death, all things considered. His original works are pretty good from what I've read so far, too.
Music that influences me...I don't always write with music on, as I greatly prefer the quiet so I can hear my characters in my head. But when I do, there are several bands I put on the list: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Modest Mouse, Sublime, The Cure, The Smiths, Weezer, and a lot of similar bands that I won't list here. I also used to play the violin when I was younger, so on occasion I'll listen to some Vivaldi or whatnot.
I'm not really sure what else I'm supposed to put here. Feel free to message me if you want.
