MY TWILIGHT OBSESSION:
Like many others on this site, I got a late start jumping on the Twilight bandwagon. Being in my 30s with no kids, I had never even heard of Twilight until after the first movie came out on DVD. My husband and I rented it because we like all things vampire [or we did until this, now my husband says sparkly vampires do not count]. He was not a fan of the movie, and while it has some scenes and special effects that make me cringe to this day, I still really enjoyed their romantic story and the hotness of Rob Pattinson. Oh, yes, I have watched all 3 twilight movies repeatedly, fast-forwarded to the Edward scenes because I never get tired of looking at that man [again, just ask my husband].
I was curious enough to go out and buy the complete set of books and read all 4 in about 3 days. Then I re-read them again...and again...and again. I don't know what it is about those books, they are like feeding a crack addiction, even though they were not originally meant for people my age, I couldn't get enough of them. Or recommending them to all my friends and even my mother-in-law. My favorite of the 4 books is New Moon even though I am a die-hard Edward lover, I just relate to the pain and angst of that book over the sunshine and roses they have in the other books. I also have to wonder how they are going to make the final book into a movie cause that is one crazy-ass book [just saying].
So that's how I entered into Twi-mania, and to feed my addiction after reading the books repeatedly, I turned to the Internet and a site called Twilighted, which are nothing but Twilight-related fanfics. I didn't even know what fan fiction was until then, I read a few stories, nothing that blew my mind, until I got hooked on Master of the Universe, which is just epic. From there I found other great stories, and authors that would recommend other new great stories, and searches that would turn up more great stories, and before I knew it I am reading this stuff all the time and my husband always complains about the neglect. But I can't help myself, and I can't stop reading these great stories. That being said, see below for some of my top favorites and why you should read them if you haven't yet.
