Author has written 3 stories for Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, and Pride and Prejudice.
I am a critic in a writer's body, I do have a splendid imagination, but my inner critic usually dashes all my attempts to put it to paper. A recent inspiration however convinced me to try my hand at the art of writing, and boy is it difficult! I will continue to soldier on though, because I've realized that there is much greater satisfaction in creation than critiquing.
I read a wide range of literature, but a recurring theme of my favorites seem to include characters that share a number of personality traits. Smart, intelligent, and usually endowed with power and mystery, maybe a little dark, brooding, quiet and reserved; and my taste in fanfiction gravitates accordingly. Characters like Darcy (from Pride and Prejudice), Snape (from this little unknown series called Harry Potter! ;-D), Akkarin (from the Black Magician trilogy) and also Frank Hardy to some extent have captured my heart since I learned how to read, and so my writing will mostly be geared to my interpretation of their personality traits. Since I also like them the way they are, I don't really prefer OOCs much.
I'm working on 3 novel length stories at the moment, for Hardy Boys and P&P, so do keep a lookout for them!
After a bunch of comments about the formatting of my stories (which do leave much to be desired) I decided to try and do something about it. I gave up after 2 hours on the verge of hurling my laptop against the wall. How DO I work the editor?? I'm not able to increase the spacing between paragraphs, I'm not able to create section breaks, I'm not even able to insert stars or dashes; C'mon, I'm not really asking for much here!! Just basic formatting which seems beyond me at the moment! :( Anyone willing to help me out?
I am very sorry to inform you that my stories will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future. A lot of issues in my personal life along with a much busier professional one is making it impossible to find either the time or the inspiration to put my pen to paper. My stories are still not abandoned because the ideas are still there in my head even if they refuse to come out like I want them to. I want to thank everyone who has supported me so far with their kind words of encouragement and very sincerely hope that I will be able to live up to your expectations when I return, hopefully with a bang! :)
