![]() Author has written 7 stories for Detective Conan/Case Closed, Rise of the Guardians, Natsume Yūjin-Chō, and Magic Kaito/まじっく快斗. Hi! I'm new to fanfiction.net but I'm a long time mystery fan; particularly Detective Conan / Case Closed ...and of course Sherlock Holmes. My sister is ShinyTogeticFTW (and is the one typing this) 'cause she types about 5 times faster than me... -Actually, more like 10 times as fast- ...and more accurate. -Thanks- In addition... a wonderful birthday present from LostInTheDreams. She made this for me and I just have to thank her from the bottom of my heart. It's a cover art for The Stranger and better than anything I could ever hope to do myself. http:///art/The-Stranger-209303679 LostInTheDreams is flat out spoiling me now and I will put this here... a scene she did for Chapter 13 of The Stranger (yes, she got it first... she offered to check for errors in addition to my beta, I did not know she planned this). Chapter 13, 'Contradictions', will be up once my beta gets it back to me, until then... this teaser will have to suffice. I apologize for the delay and hope the chapter makes it worth the wait. http:///art/He-s-right-here-251090116 Thank you so much, Mysteryfan17 Getting this up while watching Irene bear down on us. I just posted the 'challenge fic' that LostInTheDreams issued me. 2 random characters were given to me, Shinichi and Ayumi, and a random genre, mystery. A week late (sort of)... I finished typing it two days late because of a friend getting sick (glad you're better muses-pet) and delayed posting between work and having her here. Yeah... I wake up Tuesday morning to my mom, my sister (with a video camera), muses-pet (a friend that lives with us) and LostInTheDreams. Yeah, they conspired and pulled it off. I ADMIT IT... I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS WHAT YOU WERE UP TO... HAPPY? I hope the challenge came out well. Mysteryfan17 I also enjoy (in no particular order) Pokémon Legend of Zelda series NCIS Harry Potter I'm a New Englander, but I tend to relax my speech sometimes to sound a bit southern (raised on country music and NASCAR, what do you expect). I also jump around in my languages... Spanish, French, a few words of German or Russian or Japanese (blame Detective Conan for this one) My birthday is May 17th (yeah that's passed, but I figure I'll put it here anyway... who really reads these besides me). Possibly might post an NCIS one-shot soon, an idea I've been playing with but muses-pet has so many on her plate right now... we'll see. I am currently writting 'The Stranger', which is a Detective Conan/Case Closed fanfic, and my first ever. If you read it, please let me know what you think. I can use any help I can get. As time goes I may post some in other topics, but for now, this one is taking most of my time, mostly because I am a slow typer. Mysteryfan17 A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98 percent of teenagers will not stand up for God, and 93 percent of the people that read this won't repost it? Hey guys, this is ShinyTogeticFTW! My sister had some minor grammar issues here (which I have now fixed) and also it hasn't really been updated in donkey's years because I needed to add 3 things to her list of favorite shows - one of which is Doctor Who! I've also found some spelling errors in Ayumi Takes the Lead, which I have come here to correct. :P Maybe I'll check over her other ones too... for example, that drabble of hers shouldn't be all one paragraph - it looks messy that way (which is not helped by having it centered, but if that's the way she wants it... *eyeroll*) and it's grammatically wrong to boot; you should at the very least start new paragraphs when different people talk, Sis, seriously. And for crying out loud, put a space before or after an ellipsis unless it's like in the middle of one word or something! I've told you that how many times now? Anyway, happy reading, everyone, and enjoy my sister's creative works (and then, if you want, maybe check out mine please? There's a link in my name up there). |
