Author has written 3 stories for Janet Evanovich.
I am exactly as my pen name states. Late to Love. I met Stephanie Plum in March of 2010. A very good friend brought me Ten Big Ones when I was recovering from surgery. I felt awful, but was laughing my head off despite the pain it caused. She immediately started bringing me the earlier books, as they became available at the library. I now am the proud owner of every one of the books. Thanks to yard sales. Finding fanfiction was a real treat. I was limited during my recovery, and reading replaced my pain medication. I had no idea that so many talented, inspiring authors were lurking out there. My daughter, who also writes, introduced me to this sight.
I’m fifty years old, although I’m frequently mistaken for someone who couldn't possibly be a day over forty-nine. My three and four year-old preschoolers at school think I’m ten, but my older, more worldly five year-olds think I’m eighteen. Most of the time I feel forty, but on a bad day I feel every bit of sixty, and on a really good day I feel thirty. So I guess age is all relevant.
I am a mother of 5 fantastic children (which probably explains why I didn't have time to read anything but children's books for so many years), and two beautiful grandchildren. My favorite books of late have been the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (If you have never read them - I highly recommend her books), Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, and Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer collaborations (Agnes and the Hitman among others). I have also recently taken up reading the good old-fashioned romance novels of LeVyrle Spencer.
Having completed Scent of A Woman, my first fanfiction story, and its sequel, A Total Eclipse of the Heart, I now have a much greater appreciation of the writing process and its demands. If you are just now reading my first two stories. I'm still around and will answer all of your reviews, questions and comments. I would love to hear from you.
I have also collaborated with Sonomom on a story, under the joint penname AlmostCompleteStrangers, entitled Thirteen Coins.
I am also working on a new story of my own. Tentatively entitled The Detour, I plan to begin posting it sometime. I hope you will give it a look see and let me know what you think. If you are a writer, you know how important the reviews can be to your enthusiasm for continuing to write. If you are not a writer, please consider leaving as much feedback as possible, to the stories you enjoy. It really does make a difference.
