Active for the spring break! Writing a new story with my sister, Kaitlyn. So, I'm only taking one class (with lab) this semester so I should be relatively active during the semester as well.
Star Trek (Spirk) fanfic: Family is Forever (Skann Qual Ek'wak)
I will place fun facts and important stuff here on my profile so keep coming back here to check for new updates.
So, about this new series, yes it's a series. The series as a whole is called Skann Qual Ek'wak which translates to Family is Forever. However, I decided to give each installment a subname. The first is Palikaya meaning Beginning. It starts with the twin's birth, when Spock is five. The stardate is 2235. The twins are born December 9th. Also, the rating says T now, but the rating is definitely going to go up for later smut between numerous ships, mainly Spirk. However, I am not sure if the rating will go up during this fanfic or if I'm just gonna make the sequel rated M. It all depends on where this ends.
Here is a rough draft of all the major relationship pairings (romantic):
Spock x Kirk
OC x Bones
OC x Uhura
OC x Jaylah
Though the twins are biologically around 50% Vulcan and 50% human, mentally and otherwise, these percentages are skewed. I guess you could say that Ankha is really about 25% Vulcan and Sarek II is about 10% human.
Here are some descriptions I wrote for myself when first coming up with this story:
Ankha: Personality wise, she is more human than anything. She is very loud, enthusiastic, and strong-willed. She is also very playful and loves attention, especially from her family. This doesn’t necessarily mean she doesn’t know how to act in public or around important others. She can act Vulcan when absolutely necessary. She adores Spock from the very beginning. She is always by his side. She is, in a way, his destruction (considered so by their father and other Vulcans) because she causes him to feel many emotions. As they get older, when the twins are about five, Ankha is even allowed to touch Spock’s hand when she is feeling exceptionally affectionate or wants to comfort him (for one scene only). She is also close to her father, though he, obviously, doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve as she does. She wants to make him proud, but strives for Spock’s acceptance more.
Sarek II: He is more Vulcan than anything, meaning he is the model child, really. He doesn’t spend much time with his twin nor does he care for her because he does not understand or like all of the blatant emotions that she expresses. He is very quiet and composed. He never expresses pain in his young life, physical or emotional. He is afraid of nothing until Vulcan is destroyed, then his greatest fear is losing the rest of his family (or loss in general).
Ankha: Her hair is extremely long and grows rapidly and is pitch black. From a young age she wears it in pigtails. It’s kind of strange, she wraps her hair around itself and then shoves in two sticks in an X formation. Her eyes are, of course, brown, but they are more of a dark golden color.
Sarek II: He as black eyes and black hair. That’s about it. Also, once he is older, his voice (the way he talks and the tone of his voice in general) I imagine being akin to Amaimon from Blue Exorcist. If you don't know that anime, you can just look Amaimon up on YouTube. And NOT the dubbed version, either.
So, I'm gonna give you a broken timeline here. As stated above, it starts when Spock is five. Palikaya is going to cover at least everything covered in the first movie. Every few chapters there will be a chapter that covers a few years (time skip chapters) otherwise the story would drone on and get boring and redundant. I think it was either chapter two or three that I did that, and I'm currently working on another now. Up until the twins are roughly nine years of age, everything is going to be focused on Spock's life. After that, I will switch to Jim. So, probably about another 10 to 15 chapters of Spock's family and childhood before we see anything else.
Once we get to that point, everything will start getting more interesting. Right now it's just character development, I really want y'all to understand the twins and Spock and all of the family dynamics between the Vulcan/Human hybrid family. After that is established, then we can have some real fun!
As for where this story is going to end, I am not exactly sure. I might end right where the movie ends, just for ease. But, if the story is flowing the right way it might go on longer. I AM NOT INCLUDING ANY OF THE EVENTS OF THE SECOND MOVIE IN PALIKAYA! If i do extend further than the movie it will be completely made up shit.
I just updated Palikaya! I got over 5,000 words this time! I might update later tonight as well, but maybe not, idk.
Judging how I've been doing my chapters, the actual plot of the story will begin after chapter ten, meaning chapter eleven it will start. That just depends on if I write it the way I have planned right at this moment.
Here's my very basic af timeline:
Chapter 8: starts with the twins roughly at age 4 1/2 and ends with their 6th birthday! Yay, another birthday, what theme should I do next?
Chapter 9: Starts at age 6 and ends at age 8. One of Spock's life lessons occurs in this chapter, will be very long. "Spock Learns About Loyalty"
Chapter 10: starts at age 8 and ends at age nine. Spock's last life lesson. "Spock Learns That Emotions Are Logical"
Chapter 11: Cue James Kirk at 20yrs for a paragraph or two of a very important event in his life. Then the chapter really starts at age 22.
So that's what I have at this moment, though this timeline is subject to change if a chapter I either too long or I can't expand it any longer.
Broken Hearts. Chapter one has been edited and updated, so go on and read it. I am not going to do the double point of view thing that I did before because that's tedious.
So I'm having a hard time keeping up with things because I've had an abrupt change in life. Yesterday, I went job hunting all day because my mom is technically kicking me out and she is also changing the rules of me living with her DRASTICALLY. So things are really fucking hard right now. However, once I am out of the house and have lived on my own for a year, meaning I have been off her taxes for a year, I will qualify for poor people loans which will make things a little easier. I" don't exactly know how to explain that. But anyway, I'm really freaking sorry about everything that had been going on throughout the year. If you've stuck with me through all of this, you really need an award, really. You are a saint. I am totally going to continue Palikaya and my promises of rewrites of some of my older fanfics, it'll just be slower than planned. But it will definitely get done. I mean, if anything I am more determined now than before.
