About the author: I live in northern California with my husband, our son, and a cattle dog who wants to rule the world. I am retired and spend time writing and building armor, (and doing less glamorous things like cooking and taking care of the house.) I worked as an educator showing kids the wonders of robots and 3-D printing, and also worked many years as a writer, (an odd combination of skills, to be sure.) But, hey, I can craft armor AND write stories about the folks that wear the armor. It makes sense in my brain. I am a longtime member of the 501st Legion costuming group. I'm currently working on completing helmets for all members of the Wolfpack. I love this group for the friends I've made and the emphasis on charity.
