Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter.
Hi! My name is Dany and i live in Mexico city. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, I first read the books back in 1999 when I was 7 (do the maths and you'll figure out my age) and since then I just love them. I also like Tolkien's books a lot, my favorite of all time as a matter of fact; I don't believe anyone can match up with the creativity and genius of that extraordinary writer. I love reading but lately I haven't read anything, except of course tons and tons of fanfiction; my favorite genre it's mistery, horror and really good romance stories not only on books but in movies too.
Favourite HP Books:
1. Goblet of Fire - Highly the book with more action, I also liked the introduction of foreign characters and simply from first to last chapter it gave me (still gives me) hours of entertainment. It was also the first really complex book, my favourite part is the one at the cemetery because it proved that although most of the time Harry has help, he has bravery inside him and a surprising power that can match up Voldie's. And I can't forget that it was the first one that made me cry a lot.
2. Prisoner of Azkaban - The trio's friendship is put to test, I think it was wonderful how Rowling handled up this situation because you can really see how they're starting to grow up and how much they all need each other. It also introduced two of my favourite characters: Remus and Sirius; the Marauders background was something that really interested me. Even if it's the only book in which Voldie remains hidden in the closet, the action scenes were perfect, they deal more with the characters development rather than the "dark matter". Truly, an enjoyable plot.
3. Order of the Phoenix - Maybe the largest in extension but curiously the one I have read more times. There's something about this book that keeps me sticking to it every time. Some may argue that it had a lot of filling but it never seemed to me that it was unnecessary, I think Rowling did an excellent job, her style somehow never bores you and she wanted to point out how important the characters are, and thus their emotions and progressions. We realize too that even though Harry has to do the final act by himself, he can't take the weight alone and he will not do it because he has friends who care endlessly for him no matter what. Sirius death was incredibly well written and of course it made me cry for weeks, nevertheless it was vital for Harry's future actions as we see in the following books. And another important character was Snape, you could never be certain of his thoughts but you knew he was going to be a main protagonist.
Favourite HP characters:
Harry, because I grew up with him! And I would love to have a boyfriend like him (disregarding Dan's astonishing looks), Harry's personality is one of a kind, he's brave and he stands up unlike many of us do; he's truly worth of admiration.
Sirius, there's something about him that seems sexy to me lol. I think the moment in which I cried more through the books (besides the end of book 7 and that was just because the series had ended) was his death.
Snape, his mysterious but tragic past. Since the beginning, Sev is that typical teacher that hates you for no reason and surprisingly there's something interesting about him, he captured me since book 1 and knowing the past he shared with Lily was amazing.
Luna, because she's the Anti-Hermione xD nah, just kiddin'. Luna is just the most brilliant character Rowling could ever come up with, she's amazing and she shows us a point of view that is really unique. I just love her and Evanna's performance is perfect.
The twins Fred and George because they always make me laugh. Seriously, do you think the books would have been so fun without them? No! On OotP when they escaped with their brooms, I thought it was the most awesome scene. I hated Rowling for killing off Fred, can you picture George alone? I can't and it seems to me that it was such a random action... ughh I almost throw the book out of the window.
Hermione, sometimes we think alike (besides the fact that I would never pair myself with Won-Won). But again, what would have been of Harry without her? He would have probably got eaten by Fluffy or something like that and then we wouldn't have books. She's an extraordinary girl (yeah, like the song) and like Harry, I admire her quite a lot.
Another thing I like a lot is Lost. I don't think I will ever meet a tv show that can amaze me and capture me the way Lost did. It's the best show I've seen and the one in which I could get more involved with the plot and of course, the characters. But again, I didn't like the End; it makes sense that it couldn't level the rest of the series, with a show so big and complex like Lost, it was really hard for the writers to make an end that most fans would like. And still I got the feeling that they didn't even try. Sounds awful but I expected so much more, I knew it wouldn't be the great thing but I wanted something decent at the very least. Maybe I'm being too harsh, I can't help it (happens when you get this involved with something, sadly), for now I'm not satisfied.
But we still have fiction! That can make things work out and that's why I like it so much :D
My favorite pairings:
Harry/Hermione - They're perfect for each other in every way, they just never realized it.
Neville/Luna - The cutest couple. I was also angry when they didn't get together, I mean if Harry is with Ginny and Ron with Hermione, it was the obvious choice, wasn't it? And yet, it didn't happen.
Draco/Hermione - Those two are really sexy together, don't you think? All that hate turned into something passionate xD
Remus/Sirius - Another perfect match, those two are soul-mates.
Ron/Luna - Luna is just the kind of girl Ron needs, I think she can make him change without the bickering he gets with Hermione. Actually I would have found Ron nicer if it had been that way.
Harry/Luna - Luna understands Harry better than anyone else, sometimes more than even Hermione. And their fics are really sweet :)
James/Lily - Do I have to explain why I love this couple?
Severus/Lily - The saddest one ='( If I feel let down, I read some of their fics, the tragic ones...
Sawyer/Kate (Lost) - I get it, my favorite pairings almost never get together... for long enough. But what were the writers thinking? Sawyer and Kate are one of the hottest couples ever, that scene at the cages... *drools* lol. And they're also very much alike, he changed so much for her and I reckon they would have lasted had it not been for Jack.
Charlie/Claire (Lost) - Another really cute couple.
Not compatible pairings:
Jack/Kate (Lost) - Can't stand it, sorry. In fact, I can't even stand Jack.
Harry/Cho - Not in a million years, I would actually prefer Harry pairing with Millicent Bulstrode or... Voldemort even. I hate Cho so much.
Dumbledore/anyone - nope, no way
Harry/Ginny - Rowling never convinced me, the lack of a real romance was absurd, Ginny shows up at the beginning and the end of book 7... that was soo romantic *rolls eyes* If Rowling had written a well-developed romance, the idea would have been really good but no, Harry's crush on her came out of nowhere and she was always shown as some kind of shy fangirl. But I have read some H/G fics and they're actually pretty nice.
Ron/Lavender - ugh Won-Won doesn't work for me.
Harry/Ron - No comments on this...
Ron/Ginny - Oh sweet Jesus! D:!!!
I don't like crossovers, specially if they are Harry meets Bella Swan and they fall in love... Damn! Ginny, where are you when you're most needed?!
Like most of us, I'm also a music lover and I think you will realize that if you read my fics, they might not be songfics but they will probably feature a song or two. My favorite kind of music is rock, mostly alternative, indie and post-punk and I have a thing for old music (70s, 80s, 90s). Currently my favorite artists and bands are: Muse, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Regina Spektor (god, I love that girl), The Smiths, Pixies, The Cure, Soda Stereo (a band from Argentina), Luna Sea (from Japan) and the one and only David Bowie (that man changed my life); to mention a few.

I'm obsessed with zombies! Supposedly it's a reaction to an excessive fear for the end of the world, or at least humankind. The fact is that I haven't been the same since I met Romero's movies, I keep turning around to be sure no undead thingy is chasing me.
Anyway, I guess that's all I can say about me. Write to me if you have any questions, demands, complains or just want to chat :)
