I'm Kathleen. I belong to four cats all named after tv characters, Solo, my little grey fluffball for Napoleon Solo, Doyle, my fat curious boy for Ray Doyle, Oliver, my vocal guy who likes to carry on conversations for Oliver Queen, and Dancer, my timid little scaredy-cat for Dancer. I'm a Capricorn and a hopeless romantic. I love anything that's underappreciated or unusual, especially crytozoology and teratology, and I firmly believe that the truth is out there. My personality type is INFP and the quizzes sort me into Gryffindor. Nature inspires me, carnivals are in my blood, history is my passion, and someday I will find the Time Tunnel. I grew up a '90s kid and still get struck by random bursts of nostalgia. I'm easily distracted by shiny objects, retro odds and ends, and good-looking fictional men with fabulous hair who are prone to injuries. Arthurian legend and Robin Hood have both been part of my life since I was a toddler and they own me body and soul in any version, so much so I like to think I lived in Camelot or Sherwood Forest in another life. French, Italian, Scottish, and Irish accents make me melt. TV is air, music and radio are life. I live in a permanent James Darren situation.
My icon is James Darren with his infant son because they're both adorable, and my username is from the title quote in the Route 66 episode "The Cruelest Sea Of All".
"He was tall and quick and he moved as beautifully as a cat. His yellow hair was sun-bleached almost white and his eyes were blue. They saw Laura and opened wide. Then a flashing grin lighted up his whole face and he threw the ball to her. Inside the window, Laura, Mary and Minnie all watched him throwing the ball and leaping to catch it. He was not as handsome as black-haired Ben, but there was something about him. He was always good-natured and his grin was like a flash of light. It was like the sun coming up at dawn; it changed everything."-Laura Ingalls Wilder
"I'll tell you a secret. Something they don't teach you in your temple. The gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again."-Troy
"Would it not be a comfort, just for a time, to believe that we create our own heavens, and our own hells?"-The Mists Of Avalon
"You are a strange species. Not like any other. And you'd be surprised how many there are. Intelligent but savage. Shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you? You are at your very best when things are worst."-Starman
In England, he always visits a special hospital for blind children. There's a little girl there who has sort of taken him over. One day, she took him for a walk in the garden to show him the flowers she planted, just as a strong wind came up. He told her, "Don't be startled - the wind's blown hair over your eyes - I'll pull it away." She asked, "What color is the wind?" He was stunned for a moment, then he said, "Sweetheart, the wind moves so fast that nobody has ever been able to find out."-Frank Sinatra's wife, quoted in Look magazine
"Nothing's forgotten. Nothing is ever forgotten."-Robin Of Sherwood
"I once had a talk with Mulder about starlight. How it's billions of years old. Stars that are now long dead whose light is still traveling through time. It won't die, that light. Maybe that's the only thing that never does."-The X-Files
