![]() Author has written 21 stories for StarTrek: Other, StarTrek: The Original Series, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, Carpathian Series, and StarTrek: Deep Space Nine. I have a thing for Fantasy and Sci-Fi.. Incidentally I also enjoy writing sci-fi, particularly Star Trek. I have a thing for Vulcans and they often wind up being the subject of my fiction. Read and review my works, if you enjoy the Vulcan point of view. But be ready to have your eyebrow raised at times! I'm married with a son and I enjoy writing. I hope you like what you read, and if you don't, please make your criticism constructive so that I may improve. Furthermore, concrit is fine so long as it is in the reviews section. If you PM me, please don't get weird. I have enough things I deal with in my everyday life and fanfiction.net is supposed to be a stress reliever. As to the members who I've PM'd and asked for their help about specific things in my writing, thank you so much for your help and advice. You've made me see things from a different point of view at times and I appreciate that. Most of these stories (by now) are Old AF. If you find things 'problematic', ask yourself if it's an author's job to make characters be who you think they should be, or to portray them exactly as they are. My characters come to me pretty much fully formed. They see the world how they see it. In other words, I can see the world the way they see it so that I can lay it down in writing, but my POV of the world has nothing to do with how a characer manifests in written form. I don't write perfect characers, because I don't believe in it. People aren't perfect, they are flawed. People are not only a mess, they're also in a constant state of flux. A character can have a bevy of wonderful characteristics, but they can also become a jerk when under pressure. Another character can be true-blue evil and still get up every morning and cook their children breakfast, never yell at them, and spend quality time with them. Another character can also be a neglectful parent while being the most supportive friend on the planet. People are a collage collection of characteristics, not fixed photographs of one thing. As for what the future SHOULD look like, don't forget that I write primarily in TOS. They had a hotbed of sexism, racism, classism, specie-ism, and genocide still happening during the time of TOS within the boundaries of Starfleet and the Federation. And I don't ascribe to the school of Federation = Good, Klingons/Romulans = Bad.
