Author has written 5 stories for How to Train Your Dragon. Sex: Um... sex? You mean now? Oh, gender! Male... yes... what was I thinking English can be so deceptive to a foreigner, heh. Location: My room... that's not it? I am where I am? Still no?*whispers* Should I include the street or something? People can see from what country I am writing, right? Well then, Somewhere in Poland. Will that suffice? What, you do not know where Poland is? Then I would advise you to learn harder. Since November 2011 staying in a certain city in Australia (hint: it's the Powerpuff Girls' city). Age: 27 or something last time I checked. Physical Appearance: White, handsome and savvy. Yeap, that's totally me. Interests: Thinking, martial arts, writing, reading, playing games, sci-fi, zoology, reptilian behaviourism. Music: I am a big fan of the alternative rock genre. I can listen to almost anything as long as it is not techno or some cheap pop song. What do I look for in fanfiction or stories in general?: Character development. Here I said it. No matter what the story is about if the story got great character development, I'm in. I look for the type of writing style which would make me believe in what is portrayed in the story. I do not care if it contains OCs (idiotic term forged by fanfiction) or what what perspective it's told. I love stories that make me think. That are not afraid of breaking barriers, show the darker side of things, of us. I like morally conflicting situations, characters having to struggle with their own limitations, environment, culture etc. If you really want me to review your story PM me, but know that I won't have any mercy, exactly as I treat my own stories. I know that I might not be the best writer, but I try hard and I expect others to do the same. And now for a few words from me: I ask every fanfic author out there, before you will post anything to the public PLEASE be sure that your story: 1) Does not contain any spelling mistakes. I use myself thesaurus dictionary super kind beta reader(s). Office Word or any other software( some programs are free!) can do this in the blink of an eye, so use it! For grammar correction use a beta-reader. There are plenty of good-willing people out there whose sole purpose is to help us grow as an authors. If a non-native English speaker like me can cringe or just grab my head in utter disbelief with a "why in the name of everything that is holy would you write that??" pose when reading some fanfics, then something definitely MUST be wrong. 2) Your story is well thought out. Nothing, absolutely nothing in a story is more repulsive than shallow characters and an inane or illogical plot. Spelling and grammar can be corrected quickly, but with characters and the plot there is a bigger problem. Sadly, most of the yaoi or slash fanfics show an utterly low level of plot and character development. These stories seem posted only to render the author's sexual desires or to get attention. Come onfolks, are we playing in middle school? 3) Lastly, if you happen to read my story/storiesdo not hesitate even for a second to ponder whether to give me a critical review or not. I respect people who speak their minds, and asking for ONLY nice reviews is like shutting yourself in a hermetic world of empty happiness, simply running away from reality. Sorry, the real world is not sweet like that. Best wishes, Fang |
