Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, and Twilight.
My live journal is where you can find some of my stories and my reccomendations.
I am female and I have currently started to write fanfiction.
I love HP and no disrespect towards JKR, but I really enjoy the stories with bashing of the main characters, except for Harry.
Well, sometimes I am in the mood to read the "Harry loves Draco, but feels the need to live up to the wizarding world's expectations, so he marries Ginny" plotlines that make me want to slap him.
He already saved their lazy behinds after they shunned him and called him a deranged liar. He owed them nothing, so he should have the balls to tell them to go to hell b/c it is his life and he deserves to be happy, even if they disagree. So what if they leave him? They have done it before. At least, he'll be with the people that really love him and support him.
Other plotlines are the "Harry is a jackass and cheats or hurts Draco and leaves, only to return and Draco forgives him"-please Draco would so much better without him. He does not need to take that crap.
Maybe one day I'll write a story like that, but with my own twist.
Also, I feel like a bias exist; Harry can leave Draco with no consequence or he gets him back after being a jerk without really feeling sorry and that is alright, but the opposite is not true.
Draco leaves Harry and he is a bastard and writers treat him as such while Harry is an innocent victim. And if he tries to get back with Harry, then he moves on and flicks him the finger and goes off into the sunset, but Draco doesn't. No, he is depressed, lonely and weak and sometimes leaves a good relationship b/c Harry finally came back. And that is such BS, sorry that I am ranting, but I had to write that.
Love makes you blind, it does make you stupid and love is sometimes not enough. If the person that you loves hurts you and does something unforgivable then don't forgive them. They might be the love of your life, but that does not mean that you have to be a pushover because if it were someone else, you want that person to move on and be happy. Think about it this way: if it was your friend, you would tell them to leave and find happiness else where. Staying, just shows you that your heart is misguided when you continue stay in a bad situation.
The Old List: (I am not a fan anymore, the plotlines, just bored me)
Harry/other Death Eaters or Slytherins (thanks to well written stories. I am a fan)
Harry/ Remus or Sirius ( But only if well writen or with potential)
Harry/OMC (never really liked until Of Princes and Fireflies, than I loved it): If anyone has any recommendations, please pm me!
I love a possessive Harry. Just love it when he is dominant and strong and not a short kid with curly hair all the way to his back with huge, green eyes. I used to like stories like that until I got fed up, so no bottom Harry for me! It makes me want to hurl.
Any recommendations for top Harry please pm me!
I hate Bella! She is so weak and so pathetic that she gives women a bad name. Edward leaves and she is depressed and can't move on. Then, he comes back and she accepts him without complaint. Whatever happened to self-respect and independence? And not only that, but the bitch has to lead Jacob on knowing that vampires and werewolves don't get along, she forces them too and almost breaks their treaty! WTF!
Meyers has some serious issues! I am a proud feminist; meaning women and men should be equal in society. We are not! Only recently were women given the right to vote and hold jobs. Sexual harassment is finally against the law and rape is recognized. It didn't use to be that way, everyone. Not so long ago, rape was scoffed on and a "NO" meant "YES". Even now, women are not paid equally, even if they do the same jobs or even have the same background and degrees; in fact, a woman might have a better GPA and rank when she leaves college, but she will get a lower pay than a man that has a lower GPA and rank. How is that fair? And if you're a miniority, your pay decreases. A white woman will earn more than a black woman who will earn more than a hispanic, etc. That is not right.
I hate Jared/Kim stories. Again, Meyers shows us how little pride she has as a woman and authors take that and make Kim so pathetic, I want to bitch slap her! She's mooning over Jared, who never knows her name and BAM! he imprints and Kim falls him like a little puppy! She obsesses over him and doesn't have a life. It's Jared this and Jared that. Really? Imprinting sounds so sweet, but come on! What happened to self-respect?
I also dislike it when people take the story of Twilight, change the main character and rewrite the whole Twilight plot with some minor changes. Really? At least have some creativity to do something different and not spit out the Twilight plotline again. If you're going to do that then I am better off reading the series again.
I also hate it when the characters are trapped and they have to read their series. It's so boring! All stories sound the same, especially those involving Harry Potter. Rereading the story on a fanfiction site is not creative or fun; I might as well reread the books. Also, I don't know why they have such high reviews!
Since going to foreverfandom, I realized that I hate banners that people put up for their stories. They take up space.
Other dislikes: Please write warnings! Please. I hate reading for twenty chapters and BAM! Rape scene! I hate rape and sexual assault on fanfic, so I feel like I wasted my time. Just warn us.
I have recently started to read Kyo Kara Marou and I have to say that I am already sick of Yuuram. So please let me rant: I hate it. I hate how writers treat Wolfram and how he is always getting the short end of everything! Everyone is always so concerned with Yuuri and yet they shove Wolf's emotions aside and belittle him! Gods, I hate how Yuuri treats him and he lets him b/c "I love him and he is my wimp".
My Gods, you all seemed to have forgotten another of Wolf's traits: pride. He would have never let himself be treated so horribly without fighting back and leaving and moving on. Authors have him wait years and he is treated with disbain and BAM! He is kidnapped, sick, missing or another character comes in to court him and all of the sudden Yuuri "realizes" he loves him. What a load of bull. He deserves so much more and his family! They never properly defend him and protect him, no they all care about Yuuri and yet disregard their own blood. Gods, I hate those plotlines so much.
Honestly, life and love don't work that way. You one day wake and realize that you have reached your breaking point and that it is time to move on. One-sided love is meaningless. You deserve someone to love you back and sometimes it is a little too late. Plus, there is only so much pain a heart can take before you decide to get up and give up and no that is not being weak. Weak is staying in a place that is harmful to you because you are afraid of the consequences.
Least Favorite Pairings:
Harry/Ginny: JKR disappointed me with this pairing; in my opinion Ginny saw Harry as the BWL never as himself. Remember when they met in the beginning of CoS and she already had a crush on him WITHOUT really knowing him? And her hair is red, mother-complex anyone? I felt that he ended up with her b/c of what she represented- family. She has a close family that Harry had always wanted. I guess the ending was too cookie cutter for me like the end of a fairy tale and HP meant more than that.
Harry/ ANY Weasley: really can't stand it; it just does not sit well with me at all. I guess it started b/c of Ron's attitude in the GoF. Than, in the 7th book, he abandoned Harry again. It was just wrong. He complained about their situation. Hello! They had to find objects that even the headmaster couldn't and he expected it would be a picnic? If he were my friend tell him to go to hell. I could find better friends than him and so could Harry.
Draco/Hermione: Really? Draco is a Malfoy, a pureblood, who would never, ever be with a Muggleborn. He might be with a half-blood and even that is pushing it. I know this is fiction, but please there is a limit. I don't mind it if the pairing is there in the background, but not expect me to go and actually look for stories with this pairing.
Hermione/Lucius: it is the same thing!
Harry/other female characters (canon included): If I wanted to read a hetero. story, I would go to the library.
Any character with Hagrid, centaurs and Flitwick: It is just wrong. I once saw a Harry/Dobby story on this site b/c the author could not write a Harry/Draco one! Really? How is Harry with Dobby any better?
I hate a stories featuring a very weak Harry that lets others dictate his life. In fact, I have deleted several stories from my list because of that reason or I have not added them to my favorite list because he never matures or is truly sorry for his actions.
I have some ideas involving this type of characterization and I promise you that he will get a good spanking(in the nonkinky sense!) I love a happily ever after like the next person, but sometimes they are not possible and should not be forced.
I also don't like when the characters are sluts and can't keep their ripper up or their legs close (except Ginny, I love to bash her character!)
If you don't like my pairings than oh well, everyone is entitled to their own tastes. Don't talk BS about my choices and neither will I.
Other info. on tastes: I don't do any type of rape and sexual abuse and assault. I know that these characters are not real, but these topics are brutal and violent even against a fictional character. I especially dislike it when it happens to the main characters, such as Harry and Draco.
Some of my fav.stories have some mentions, like Of Princes and Fireflies (a really, really amazing story that everyone should read), but I overlooked it b/c it was an amazing story and it was alluded to (But only if it is an amazing story w/loads of potential, but if the story pushes a certain line than I will delete them from my favorites). But I don't do the very graphic mentions.
Personally, I know people that have gone through similar situations and it is heartbreaking and scars a part of you. I was also a vicitm myself and I could never put anyone through a sitation like that, even if they are not real. I will appreciate it if people don't make a huge deal out of this post.
If you write these stories and/or read them, than go ahead, I have nothing against you at all, just don't email me with neg.comments. Everyone is entitled to their taste. I respect yours and you'll respect mine, even if we disagree.
