All my fiction centers around Hellion (Julian Keller) and X-23 (Laura Kinney). I call this pairing "Helix", a term coined by a reader a while back.
Wondering what titles these two are currently in?
Hellion is a cast member of Wolverine & the X-men written by Jason Aaron, and sometimes appears in X-men Legacy.
Why do you take a while to update?
I'm a university student who also works and has family. I am trying to devote most of my writing time at the moment to a novel I am working on.
Will you beta read my story?
I just barely have time for my own stories as is...so sorry, my automatic answer is no. Beta reading takes a lot of time to be done right.
Do you know of any good beta readers?
I proofread my own stories, so no, I don't. Try using the 'Betas' search feature on fanfiction.net...I'm sure there's a lot of great beta-readers out there that would love to help!
What advice can you offer for my writing then?
Read. Read and read and read to develop your style. Then write and write and write some more. I get a lot of beta-requests for stories involving Hellion, X-23, and original characters. I really recommend none of the latter. If you must have one, don't give them amazing godlike powers, and please don't make them over-quirky. If they do have quirks, explain them thoroughly.
Do you have trouble coming up with plots?
No, I don't have trouble plotting. I actually tend to have too many ideas. A lot of inspiration comes from songs I listen to, but not all of them.
Have you read X-23 #19 and what do you think of it?
Will you stop writing this pairing now?
