When I was little, my sister and I stayed up every Friday night to watch the old black & white reruns of the late night monster theatre. We laughed and screamed at Karis, the mummy, Creature of the Black Lagoon, Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula . . . so when a little show was announced that had to do with everything urban myths, I was so there. I watched the first Supernatural episode from its first airing and have adored it ever since. 'Bout laughed my butt off during the Monster Movie ep when that slash of light hit Dracula's eyes. Kripke and crew are hilarious. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in a writers meeting as they come up with bits like that.

I'm adoring season 6, so much mystery, so many things "off" with the boys and so many theories flying around about what is really going on. Love the guessing, and the hints, and even being led astray for a while.

Then I found out there are some amazingly talented writers on here with excellent stories. I've been reading more stories than I write. (Shrugs.) What can I say, I love LOVE Supernatural. Great writing, great acting, hilarity amid touching and tragic moments--all the elements that draw me into every show I've ever got hooked on. Oh, and of course that hesistant male bonding that is so fascinating, especially to us women. All the great series have that from Starsky & Hutch, Here come the Brides (oooh, David Soul again), Han & Luke, Creighton & DeArgo, Starbuck & Apollo (orginal series), Hoss & Little Joe, Archer & Trip, and on and on, yet Sam & Dean have pushed it to an entirely different level with all the supernatural danger and self-sacrificing. Bravo, the creators and writers have given us 5 seasons of enjoyment and I hope it continues for a lonnnnng lonnnnng time.

That's about it. I'm also a mom, wife, complete nut, have an odd sense of humor, people watcher, like to take long walks on beaches . . . yadayada . . . except there aren't any beaches around here and Texas is freakin hot right now so I have to go out at night when it's cooler just wishing I might run into a shape-shifter or ghoul, but I'd run away screaming like a little girl anyway so guess it's just as well. Have been stalked by good ol regular coyotes though.
