Author has written 9 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar: Last Airbender, Dragon's Bait, Pocahontas, and Harry Potter.
Hi everyone!. I am an avid reader of fanfiction. I--surprisingly enough--don't really much Chronicles of Narnia fanfiction, but every now and then I read the books and a passage or so inspires me. My favorite Chronicles of Narnia books are ones that the movies skip like "The Horse and His Boy"and "The Silver Chair". Also I love to write about side characters like in my Pocahontas fanfic "A Connection Beyond Fate" because their stories never get told. I just got this account to comment on other people's awesome work and it grew and grew.
"Almost There" orignally started as a drawing which you can see here on deviantArt:
EDIT on 4/24/2014:
Sorry guys ( if anyone is left reading this),
I'm ending all my stories except for the one below. The reason why is that I'm working on a personal fiction project and didn't want to go the 50 shades of Grey route (sans mature content, of course). Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in my stories!
The Unusual Knight Errant--Scheduled Completion Date: sometime in mid-June/ whenever I can obtain a copy of that Vivian VandeVelde book
I am the type of person who never knows what to say in her "About me" section. I created one so my profile wouldn't look so bare and so any readers would know that I'm not just some random person with a computer. But here goes. I really like the kinds of stories and films that seem otherworldly, kind of like stories or legends. Also I tend to LOVE fanon. I think it's the almost alternate reality thing about it that I like--sort of like a story spiralling off a what-if thought. Normally, I go for the teen romances, but only if I like the main character. I am a total girly-girl so it's really hard for me to write or read anything else. I also like the type of movies that are unpredictable and make the audience interested. In school, I am a total nerd. Always blame school for any late updates because half the time, that's probably the culprit. Umm...what else? I also am really interested in multicultural stuff and I love learning about different cultures and countries. Oh! Also (how could I forget?) I am a huge history nerd and I especially love the right kind of historical romanance novels (not the lovey-dovey cat lady ones). That's probably why Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors. And I always get really into fanfiction about shows or book series when they're over (I'm sure this says something important about me, but less sure of what that something is).
Age: 18 (ish, when I wrote the stories), 21 currently
Hobbies: Reading, Drawing, Watching comedians on youtube, Acting, and just Hanging out with friends,
Favorite Books (I believe this can tell so much about a person, huge book nerd that I am): "Book of a Thousand Days" by Shannon Hale, "Diamonds in the Shadow" by Caroline B. Cooney, "Tuck Everlasting" by Natalie Babbit (I am too old to still like this book, but I can't get rid of a childhood favorite), "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, "Mansfield Park"by Jane Austen, "The Nature of Jade" by Deb Caletti, "The Six Rules of Maybe" by Deb Caletti, and "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan, "The Kitchen G-d's Wife" by Amy Tan
Favorite Authors: Maya Angelou,Deb Caletti, Jane Austen, Caroline B. Cooney, Meg Cabot, Shannon Hale
Favorite Movies: "My Name is Khan", "Man from Earth", "3 Idiots", "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (a great Bollywood film),"Mansfield Park", "Finding Neverland""Please Give" (It's a little racy, but I love the story and the acting), all of the original Disney movies (mostly "Mulan", "Pocahontas", and "Beauty and the Beast")
Favorite TV series: "Sense and Sensibility"and "Say Yes to the Dress" (I'ts the TV show form of crack to me)
Favorite Music: I love the soundtracks from "Finding Neverland" and "Mansfield Park", but I also like the newer song "Even if the Sky is Falling Down" and "Dynamite", and random Bollywood songs (like Uff Teri Ada)
Pairings that I like:
Chronicles of Narnia
Aravis/Cor (I liked him better when he was named Shasta)
Eustace/ Jill (I think there was a little of this in the books, but that was probably my overactive imagination)
Susan/ Caspian (I know it's so movieverse, but Caspian is uber hot so it works)
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Zuko/Katara (I am a HUGE fan of this!)
Harry Potter (I don't really read this anymore, but occasionally I am struck by an awesome fic in this fandom)
Draco/Hermione ( I admit it I'm a huge fan of literary bad boys; that's all there is to it)
Draco/Ginny (I've read some really awesome stories with this pairing and I love this even more than Dramione)
Ginny/Oliver (This is a wacky pairing because of the huge age difference, but I read a fanfic where it really worked)
SOON TO BE UPDATED WITH EVEN MORE CRAZY PAIRINGS (At least as soon as I find other tv show/cartoon/book/movie/anime to obsess over)
Favorite Quote of All Time:
“O! Hwai dunsyi”—You bad little thing—said the woman, teasing her baby granddaughter. “Is Buddah teaching you to laugh for no reason?” As the baby continued to gurgle , the woman felt a deep wish stirring in her heart.
“Even if I could live forever,” she said to the baby, “I still don’t know which way I would teach you. I was once so free and innocent, I too laughed for no reason."
“But later I threw away my foolish innocence to protect myself. And I taught my daughter, your mother, to shed her innocence so she would not be hurt as well."
“Hwai dungsyi, was this kind of thinking wrong? If I now recognize evil in other people, is it not because I have become evil too? If I see someone has a suspicious nose, have I not smelled the same bad things?”
The baby laughed, listening to her grandmother’s laments.
“O! O! You say you are laughing because you have already lived forever, over and over again? You say you are Syi Wan Mu, Queen Mother of the Western Skies, now come back to give me the answer! Good, good, I am listening…"
“Thank you, Little Queen. Then you must teach my daughter this same lesson. How to lose your innocence but not your hope. How to laugh forever.” Amy Tan, The Joy Luck Club
