![]() Author has written 235 stories for Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, ER, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Roswell, House, M.D., Criminal Minds, Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Legend of the Seeker, Ironman, Sherlock, and Suits. I started writing way back when the fifth season of Stargate SG-1 was still to be announced and now it has completed ten seasons, has two spin offs, one of which has completed five seasons - so, yeah, that was a long time ago. I like to make a connection with people; I try to respond to every review I get as it is more fulfilling as a writer to discuss with the reader why it is they like/dislike my fics. Fandom has given me many great friends and I thank them heartily for their support throughout the years. I deal in angst. Lots of it. It makes me happy to make our characters sad and gloaming. I'm like that. Because life isn't made of happy endings and fairy tales and when we do get that happy ending, it's generally because we've had to fight so damn hard to get it. I try to write my characters as close to canon as possible and when canon doesn't give the characters a happy ending, I find it difficult to give them happy endings, too. Part of my angst is multi shipping a lot of my characters because... Well, I'm cruel. -Sheppard/Teyla SGA I lack an ability to write in linear time, which is why there aren't many multi-chaptered fics on my profile. One-shots suit my style of writing but I hope to change that over the course of my writing career, lol. I'm experimenting with different forms in a Roswell fic called "He Lays in the Reins", so I will hopefully transfer some new styles into my other works soon, too. I wrote my first slash fic on a train on my way to a Stargate convention and I have to say, the only slash I can stomach is Holmes/Watson, so don't worry faithful hets - I shan't be slashing Sheppard/McKay anytime in the future, lol. "Here we are. All of us, basically alone, separate creatures just circling each other. All searching for that slightest hint of a real connection. Some look in the wrong places, some, they just give up hope because in their mind they're thinking, “Oh, there’s nobody out there for me.” But all of us, we keep trying over and over again. Why? Because every once in a while, every once in a while two people meet and there’s that spark. And yes Bones, he’s handsome and she’s beautiful and maybe that’s all they see at first, but making love? Making love, that’s when two people become one." Booth, Death In The Saddle, Bones "I dream about being with you, forever." Bella, Twilight “If I died tomorrow-,” he starts, but when he hears her gasp, adds, “I won’t die, but if I did, I know I could never get any closer than this. Neither to heaven, nor to hell.” Sympathex - Forgiveness "Beauty is truth, truth beauty" Keats, Ode to A Grecian Urn "Who can tell the dancer from the dance?" W.B. Yeats, Among School Children "Love drips and gathers, but the fallen blood "Your eyes have their silence" E.E. Cummings, Somewhere I have never travelled "I'm going to hate you 'til I forget you" P!nk, Centerfold "Do not ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee" Donne "Don't make people into heroes John, heroes don't exist. And if they did, I wouldn't be one of them," Sherlock, Sherlock Memento Mori |
