I am Pagan, and have been studying and practicing for various forms of Paganism, Wicca, Witchcraft, and Folk Magic for approximately 18 years. I practice a tradition of the craft which is commonly called Kitchen Witchery, but I also include various aspects of Southern Folk Magick as part of my practices. For me, Wicca is first and foremost a religion; and while it is a religion that accepts the practice of magick as part of it's belief system, the practice of magick does not represent the whole of Wiccan Beliefs and practices.
I enjoy writing about metaphysical topics and have more than 10 journals which I have been writing in since about 2001, as well as my Book of Shadows (BOS). Presently I have attempted to enter the electronic age by beginning a blog and much of what can be found in my journals and BOS can also be found in my blog. In addition to writing about metaphysical topics, I also attempt to keep aware of scientific studies which relate to metaphysics in some way. I am particulary interested in bridging the gap between ancient magick and modern science.
To this end I collect articles from various fields of science which relate to metaphysical topics, and have transcribed many of these from my journals into my blog. I am also interested in issues of history, sexuality and psychology, specifically related to the GLBT community. In addition, I meditate on a daily basis, as well as observe religious devotions.
I maintain a blog dedicated to Paganism, Wicca, Witchcraft, Hoodoo and related topics. I have a series of posts on "Magic in Popular Culture" in which I take a spell, ritual, belief, etc.. found in fictional works such as books, comic books, movies, and television shows and analyze their symbolism and potential in the real world of magick. In addition I have a magical fiction serial written in blog form featuring gay positive characters with supernatural powers.
