Author has written 7 stories for Mortal Instruments, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Twilight, Harry Potter, and Hetalia - Axis Powers.
Name: TheAdventuresJustBeginning, you can call me TAJB or Adrian
Age: Sometimes older than I’d like sometimes younger
Location: Alfred F. Jones
Gender: Female, however most of my male friends seem to forget this and it continues to baffle me how.
I have no idea where to start with this one so I’ll just go down my pre-made emergency list. The one I keep on me at all times in case of spontaneous amnesia (no joke it’s happened before).
Music: I love all types of music, except for country. There are exceptions to every rule, as I do tolerate some country songs but for the most part the genre can go die in a hole. I prefer Heavy Metal, Alternate Rock, and some Japanese Pop mixed in for good measure. My current band obsession is My Chemical Romance and my current song obsession is For the Girl/Henrietta by the Fratellis. As for musical talent, I play the trumpet…not impressively but I’m not a total failure at it.
Books: I love to read. Generally I go through about five books a month and that’s not counting fanfics. Some of my favorite books are: the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, The Forbidden Game trilogy by LJ Smith, Blink by Ted Dekker, A Midsummer Night’s DreamandRomeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien.
(A note on the subject of Twilight: I will admit to liking the series at one point it time. It was my first foray into the genre of romance and as firsts go this was not a bad choice. At the time the books were amazing and I was very much enthralled by Meyer’s world. Looking back on it now, however, I realize that it could have been better. As a more experienced reader and writer, I can see that Bella Swan is a very unlikeable character and the voice of the story is terribly bland. In my opinion Stephanie Meyer had a very good story in her hands; she just didn’t know how to get it down properly. Now something that strikes me as odd is that I’ve seen a lot of people compare Meyer to JK Rowling and I believe this is an unfair comparison. Meyer and Rowling have two separate stories that have nothing to do with each other, and the genres and writing style used in said stories are of two completely different spectrums. In all honesty the only thing these two series have in common is their status as former superpowers of the book nations. In a contest between Rowling and Meyer, in my opinion Rowling will always win because of her creative use in making something totally un-original completely original. Meyerdidhave something fresh though, and ushered in a new trend of teen fiction that, while interest for me is waning, is still running pretty strong.)
I have currently read the most amazing book in the universe. It's called GoodOmens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It's an amazing story that I've read twice, each time in one sitting. Strongly recommended.
Movies: I love movies perhaps more than I love books. My favorites include: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Goonies the Indiana Jones trilogy, The Patriot, The Last Samurai, Gone with the Wind, Stardust,Star Trek: The Voyage Home, Clue, The Breakfast Club, the Star Wars saga, and last but not least the Back to the Future trilogy.
Anime/Manga: I only recently got into anime, but I’m extremely happy that I did. I don’t really need anything else branding me as a total dork but at least I don’t play videogames. All things considered I haven’t watched many anime’s or read many manga’s but I’ve enjoyed Death Note(anime and manga), Black Butler (anime), Fullmetal Alchemist(anime), Happy Café (manga), Naruto(the manga only thus far, the anime is far too slow), and my current absolute favorite Hetalia (which has a funny history of starting out as a webcomic but if it’s Hetalia then I love it).
TV: I really don’t watch television but I love Doctor Who, Whose Line is it Anyway, NCIS,and BBC's Sherlock.
Sports: I am a world-renown klutz. I run into poles on a practical daily basis and can’t go an entire day without injuring myself in some way. I swear I’m not exaggerating nor am I faking it but needless to say sports and I don’t mix very well. However, I do enjoy hiking (despite my many falls) and absolutely own at Badminton.
School: Aside from hating the place my favorite subject hands-down is History, and this interest has nothing to do with Hetalia. The subject is like one big never-ending story book. I hate math with a passion.
When it comes to FanFictions I mostly write humor with maybe a side-serving of seriousness—whatever form it happens to take. Most of the ideas that manifest in my brain will never end up on this website, but whatever you do find will most likely be riddled with attempts at humor and wit. As of now I have a thing for OC’s and they appear in almost all of my fics; this annoys me and is something I am working on.
I write a lot of original fiction in my spare time and have quite a few projects in the works. Because I would like to see something published, or at least worthy of being published, within the next few years my fics will have to take a backseat to my real creative genius.
