Author has written 5 stories for Naruto, Undertale, and Ranma.
Hello there, I'm Yasha-HebiHime! I'm a guy, despite the name!
What do I Write?: Usually I write Naruto, Sailor Moon, Ranma, a few Zelda ones, and even wrote myself an Undertale story though that will be the only one I even consider writing! At least, the only style of Undertale story I'd consider writing! The fluffy stuff isn't stuff I can really write and I'm not really into horrors! Doesn't mean my stories won't take some dark turns, but overall I tend to step away from stories that have only dark tones! Action is where it's at, baby, and it's the stuff I like writing the most!
Where I started: This isn't my first account, nor will I be giving out my other accounts which are probably still on this site somewhere! Those stories back then are bad, in my opinion now, but who doesn't find the stuff they did when they were 12 to be rather awkward? As for when I started writing and why... It was all part of Naruto. Naruto got me thinking: "What if... this happened?" This usually, at first, revolved around the idea of Haku and Zabuza surviving back then. What would happen if they lived? So I got ideas and realized... I wasn't alone. People wrote stories and I found this site. The first story I recall reading that inspired me to start writing my own was "The Person I Admire" by Gadalla Rune on this site. Looking back, it wasn't the best story I've ever read, but it was the start and inspired me to write my favorite pairing that, thankfully, ended up canon: NaruxHina. Doesn't mean my stories will be NaruxHina, but that's my favorite Naruto pairing overall. Hinata and Naruto compliment each other rather well! My inspiration for Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2 came from watching both when I was younger, then stumbling upon the Sailor Sun / Sailor Ranko series. If you're a fan of either of those two, give that series a look! Sadly, burgerbecky has long since stopped updating and now the series is just waiting for someone else to pick it up as far as I can tell.
My "The MC is Female Now!?" gimmick: Oddly enough, it's a mixture of Naruto and watching Ranma 1/2 at an early age, probably like 7-12, that inspired the idea of shifting the genders of the MC or focusing on it entirely. I find it much easier to write Naruto when he's a girl, though that doesn't mean all my stories are like that... Just a majority! It also allows me to shift the story line without destroying the canon completely... But the last bit of Naruto, mostly the stuff revolving around the Sage of Six Paths and the creation of the Bijuu, are things I'm probably going to avoid in my stories entirely. Tales of the Kunoichi: Formation, for instance, will have a similar but more unique origin for all Bijuu or demons in general. I have no use for Kaguya or the Ten Tails in my stories.
Writing Habits: You guys might notice the actual writing habits more than I do, such as if I re-use a phrase or end a sentence a lot with "He said" or something along those lines... But I'm talking more about when and where I write. Typically, I just write whenever I have inspiration. This profile thing, for instance, came to me all of the sudden and I felt like writing it! But this applies to my stories as well. I've got story ideas back from when I was in middle school that I never fleshed out and so far I can't say I've come upon anyone with a similar story idea in mind. Will I write them? Possibly. Will I finish them..? Harder to answer. So far my focus is mostly on Tales of the Kunoich: Formation, but I've been writing other stories off and on even while writing that one! Only one of them even comes close to "Tales Of" in terms of pages, but... it's bad and needs rewritten, so I'll never upload it! Even though I've got a big plot line for it, I'll probably never finish it! Other stories I have just an outline for, a short summary, but some of them could grow to be great things I think... It just takes too much work to write them! I don't plan on writing any of them fully out except "Tales Of" and even that will take quite awhile!
What am I inspired by?: Too many things to count. Songs, other stories, basic ideas... One of the Legend of Zelda comics I've seen inspired three different story ideas alone! Two of which follow the comic itself, but then another story branched off those ideas as a different, yet still vaguely the same idea overall. All three stories have a unique plot, but have a similar base line. Sometimes just basic parts of a song can inspire an entire story for me. The Undertale story I have, for instance, was inspired by a Dual Mix of "Battle with a True Hero!" by a scene that popped into my head from hearing that song. That song branched out into an entire story in my head! Only issue is writing it, haha!
My ideals on "Bad Characters": I'm looking at you, Haruno Sakura. Sakura is, without a doubt, the most useless character in Naruto and so far no one has been able to argue against me that she isn't. But... I've always thought that she had potential to be the best, or at least one of the best characters. She could change. She had a chance. Kishi dropped the ball on that, but that doesn't mean I have to. Sakura will always change in my stories. She'll always become something. It may not be great, it may not be perfect, but she'll tap into that potential one way or another. That's my power as an author and I refuse to "bash" her because another author decided she couldn't tap into that potential. Now, don't get me wrong, I think a little bashing could go a long way in certain plots, but doing it over and over and over again... It makes for a bad story, in my opinion, and makes it hard to read. Don't bash your characters. That's like taking a book and punching it over and over just to hit one person's name. You're hitting the whole story at that point. (I've actually got a story in the making as Sakura as the MC tapping heavily into her potential at the exact point I feel she should have in Canon. The working title is "Never Turn Back: A Flower Blooms". Catchy, huh?)
My ideals on "Filler" characters: It... depends. Some characters might be used, but I'm not really the type to even watch filler so I might skip over quite a few of them from the "canon" filler. (Does that even work?) But... People that are part of the main story that rarely appear, like Mizuki, Hayate, Yugao, or any of the students of Sailor Moon / Ranma that don't get much screen time... I feel like they should appear. They should have a voice and character to them. A lot of people complimented me on the Mizuki plot line, so far at least!, in Tales of a Kunoichi... and that's the kind of stuff I mean. Giving them more character than the bland "I'm evil, deal with it" character he had in canon. There was more to him than just Naruto's first punching bag, you know? Filler showed he had connections to Orochimaru and a girlfriend, while canon said he was Iruka's best friend. There's gotta be more, but don't get me wrong, I don't think focusing on it completely is the best idea! Nor should every character be fleshed out like that... I think, at least!
Lighter stuff below!
Favorite Naruto Characters: Naruto, obviously, along with Hinata, Anko, and... Well, admittedly my favorite temporary female character was Tayuya. Something about her just caught me off guard and I completely fell in love with her character design and wish she wasn't just killed off so easily in canon. I think she could have given Hinata a run for her money if she became a love interest for Naruto! (Though, in that position, he'd probably pick both of them. They'd be okay with it. Kage Bunshin and all that)
Favorite Sailor Moon Characters: Always had a thing for Saturn. Not, like, physically, (She's like, what, twelve?) but her back story and power always interested me. Pluto is a close second, though I don't like it when she's the manipulative bad guy.
Favorite Ranma Characters: Ranma, obviously, and... Happi is always good for a laugh when he's not dark, then there's Herb... Probably the only one that could relate to Ranma's situation. I liked his design most of all and felt they should have focused on him more, though his clan's ... "traditions" were kind of odd. Konatsu and Sasuke are also great, though Sasuke is Anime Only, but definitely comes off as a solid character despite this. Kuno needed someone to talk to anyways! But overall? I'd have to say that the Fanon, that's fan canon, Nabiki is probably my favorite character to put with Ranma nowadays. The slightly less comical version of Nabiki, one who can realize what she was doing is wrong, is surprisingly the best for Ranma. At least when she isn't trying to kill them by refusing to pay for a helicopter ride...
Favorite Undertale Characters: I'd say my favorite "Character" is ... Well, "Chara." But this is mostly due to unconfirmed speculations that Chara is the narrator for the entire game. This gives a pretty clear idea of who Chara truly was as a person, but there's also more obvious connections between that character and Toriel. Like her "Greetings" and love for puns. Plus Asriel's line of "They just laughed it off" when it came to poisoning Asgore is exactly what Toriel does if you break her heart. She laughs, and that alone removes any doubt that Chara wasn't a good person. Not the best person, sure, but still a good person. As for actual character's confirmed personalities... Papyrus, while childish, has all of my respect. He's a true Jog Boy. Then Asriel is... Well, he's a total anime nerd and I love that. Just a shame he doesn't get a truly happy ending. Maybe one day...
Hm, I'm not sure what else to put here.
