Author has written 13 stories for Super Smash Brothers, Vocaloid, and Fire Emblem.
Ah, hello! Welcome to my profile! I'm Crizix. I also go by the name "Sakira". Actually, I have many internet aliases...Oh, and I'm female, just in case anyone wanted to know.
General Writing Tendencies:
I'm a light-hearted and bubbly person, so I write for the fluffier genres such as romance, friendship, and humor most of the time. However, I could dabble on the darker types of literature if I wanted or had to. As for the setting sort of genre, I adore the typical European Medieval Times fantasy world, and I can enjoy writing about the modern day world. Science fiction and western don't interest me much, although I suppose I could read them.
I like to keep my writing (mostly) kid friendly, so I try to avoid unsavory stuff such as sex, excessive profanity, and drug/substance abuse unless it's critical to the plot. Also, my romance deals with heterosexual couples only. No, it's not that I have anything against the LGTBQ community, it's just that I'd prefer not to write Yaoi or Yuri.
If I'm going to write something, I always try my best to ensure that there's a fairly fresh twist to it, especially if the element I'm seeking to alter is basically a cliche. I love playing with cliches and classic archetypes and whatnot. Sometimes all one needs to do is to flip a character's sex. It's amazing how something as simple as gender roles can drastically twist people's perceptions. To summarize what I've just said, I write because I love toying with ideas and making them mine, in a sense. I always try to make my characters believable, though, really!
I'm 16 years old. I tend to daydream a lot. I often yell random things for no reason. Also, I spend most of my time playing video games. I love video games because they're fun, and they take me away from reality. The games I like best are the ones that make me think. My favorite series are Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and Legend of Zelda, although I also enjoy playing Mario, Animal Crossing, and Super Smash Bros. I also like Sonic the Hedgehog and Ragnarok. The only Harvest Moon game that I've played is Tree of Tranquility, and I like it as well.
I love music and I love to sing, and frankly, I don't think I'm that bad. I'm a soprano. I've played the flute for many years. I like Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and Sugarcult, but my musical passion and obsession is Vocaloid. (I'm even trying to memorize the lyrics for several songs at the moment.) Don't ask me what my favorite song is, because I'm contemplated that many times, and since I'm constantly changing my mind, I'm still not sure which one it is. I don't think I'll ever be, but that's all right with me.
Due to my extensive nit-picking habits, I rarely review, if at all. Out of the hundreds, maybe thousands, of stories I've read on this site, I've only reviewed a handful. The reason is that I only get the urge to review stories that I think are exceptional, and I honestly don't see many out there. Sigh. I've sworn to myself that I'll be nicer from now on and make an effort to help more inexperienced writers with my reviews. However, if an author is whining about getting not enough reviews, then chances of getting a review from me are instantly zapped into nothing. The only sure-fire way to get a review from me is if you personally request me to. When I do review, it's rarely mere praise; I prefer to be constructive. This means that my reviews are winding, but it's worth it, right?
I don't normally prefer one pairing over another. However, Vocaloid is the major exception. For instance, I ADORE LenxMiku. So what if the girl's older than the boy? Their voices harmonize and complement each other beautifully and the combination of yellow and teal (Is it actually medium aquamarine? Regardless...MIKU'S HAIR ISN'T GREEN, DAMMIT!) is unique and refreshing. Also, they're adorable together.
Other Vocaloid pairings I particularly fancy are GakupoxMiku, TedxMiku, KaitoxLuka, RitsuxLuka, and PikoxRin.
On the other hand, I DESPISE LenxRin. Seriously, what the *CENSORED* is this? They're twins! It's incest! Ah, but they're mirror images, you say? Well, that just makes it a million times worse; it's now Narcissism. In all truth, it doesn't matter to me what their relation is: they look like each other, sound like each other, and even come in the same package! Where's the originality behind this pairing? Answer is...THERE ISN'T ANY. The fact that it's EVERYWHERE doesn't help. At all. Neither does the fact that the Kagamines' supposed motto ("Green is the enemy!") is irrationally biased and doesn't make sense upon closer inspection. (Once again...MIKU'S HAIR ISN'T GREEN!!!)
(To any rabid LenxRin fans: I don't hate you...Actually, yes, I do. I hate you so much more than the pairing itself. Honestly, I wouldn't mind LenxRin if it wasn't for you immature twits going to LenxMiku stuff just to wail obnoxious insults like "THIS IS THE WRONG PAIRING, BAAAAH". Also, why the *CENSORED* do you need to bash Miku so much? Does Miku's existence somehow ruin the pairing, even though Vocaloid was originally considered a complete failure and it's HER marketing success that convinced Crypton to create both of the Kagamines? Come on, anyone with a fraction of a brain could have figured that out by doing to research.)
Just for the record, it's not just LenxRin. I don't like pairing any Vocaloid with his or her genderbend (i.e. MikuoxMiku, KaitoxKaiko, LukaxLuki, etc...). So don't call me hypocritical with my taste in pairings. Moving on...
I generally don't pay much attention to Fire Emblem pairings. I can't claim to have a favorite, but I do like a few pairings such as MarthxMinerva, MerricxElice, RosheaxPalla, and RanulfxElincia. (Please don't ask about this last one; I have no idea...) I don't have a too favorable opinion of the canon one-sided PallaxAbel and CatriaxMarth because it really feels like it was just tacked on with no real significance. Also, I don't like IkexSoren, but that's more the fan base than the pairing itself.
Melt: ...I'm probably gonna discontinue this. Sorry, but I don't quite remember what I was thinking when I started this thing. Maybe I'll rewrite it someday. (Super Smash Bros.; LinkxPikachu)
Crystal Blade of Purity: I'm putting this on hold for a while. I do want to write it, but I need to actually plan things beforehand... (Vocaloid; LenxMiku)
Studio Questionnaire: I just might be coming back to this, provided I don't get annoyed by noncooperation from reviewers and stuff. (Vocaloid; Len and Miku)
Snippets of a Simple Cleric: This is my major project at the moment. (Fire Emblem)
Possibly Upcoming Ideas:
Operation Matchmaker: Piko and Rin are in love with each other, but they'll never confess! What to do...Ah, Len knows! PikoxRin and hints of LenxMiku. (Vocaloid)
Special Mercenary Assassination Team: Megurine Luka and Hatsune Miku and Piko are all highly skilled assassins. Will their secret be compromised when detective Kagamine Len and his sister move into their house? (Vocaloid)
The Adventures of Rescue Team Sapphire: An attempt at novelizing "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue/Red Rescue Team". (Pokemon)
Double Trouble: The Kagamine twins are well known for their antics. Now, what happens when the new transfer student catches their eyes? LenxMikuxRin triangle! Miku sandwich! (Vocaloid)
Warning!: My record for updating my multi-chaptered stories is pretty bad. A single 1000 word chapter could take months to type up and polish. I blame my procrastination habits; they're horrible.
Request!: I've been wanting to write a Len PoV to complement my "Cendrillon's Regret", but I have absolutely no idea how to write it! I don't have the drive, either. Can someone do it for me? I'd like it to focus more on the ball itself than my original Miku PoV did, but I'd also like it to have a vibe that's similar to the original, all character and condition differences considered, of course. If you'd like, then I'll reward you for your trouble with a fluffy fic starring a Vocaloid pairing of your choice. If anyone has any questions or uncertainties, then feel free to ask me for details.
