Creating profiles about myself has never been my strong point, but I will give it a try.
My account name comes from my Lord of the Rings phase. During that time, I enjoyed using the elvish name generators, and Silmarwen Raina was the product. As much as I still enjoy the story of Lord of the Rings, I have never looked into fan fiction for it. In fact, up until last summer I never once thought to read fan fiction of any sort at all. Honestly, I am such a stickler for grammar and quality writing that I shunned the idea of reading online fiction. However, my boredom, the google search engine and a dark mood in need of The Phantom of the Opera led me to this site almost 2 years ago. What started with a few stories for Phantom of the Opera and Pirates of the Caribbean, then morphed into a voracious appetite for the world of Twilight through the typed words of fan fiction authors. Now, I am a complete and utter fanfiction addict. I practically eat, sleep and breathe the marvelous ideas and quality stories shared by these amazing people I have never met.
As of now, I am not writing my own Twilight fan fiction, though that may change as time goes on. The main reason I have for creating this account is so that I can leave reviews for the wonderful authors who share their fantastic stories, but have disabled anonymous reviews.
As far as my love for Twilight goes...I am 150% team Edward for the purposes of the books. But...for fan fiction, I am team Cullen. I love all of the Cullen men for different reasons, though I must say that if I had to choose I would be team Jasper (I still love Alice and wish her no ill will. In fact, I want her to be my best friend lol). Jasper is amazing! I mean, who doesn't love a hot texan cowboy/soldier vampire???
A little bit about me outside of my fan fiction bubble...
I am a twenty-one year old college student majoring in History with a French minor. Though, I often wonder why I did not major in Photography instead. Most people who know me think I ought to have majored in British Literature or Photography since I am passionate about both. My university is located in a tiny single-traffic-light town in North Carolina and I adore it.
Symbolism is another passion of mine. Maybe it's because I love discovering hidden and great meanings within the most common of places. There is always more than meets the eye. It goes along with my feelings about people. Too many wonderful things and people are missed because many other people get so lost in the surface level that they fail to see the true meaning and value. They look, but do not see.
Butterflies are probably my favorite symbol. They possess so much meaning in their tiny and fragile forms: the Soul, a reminder to dance, change, reaching one's full potential, growth. The list goes on. They are beautiful, yes, but the real beauty is not in the physical. If a butterfly is hidden beneath the surface of the graceless caterpillar, how much more can be hidden within a person?
As my attempt at writing a profile proves...I ramble. A lot. lol Once I get started, if there is no one to halt or redirect my train of thought, I can go on and on like the energizer bunny. There are just so many thoughts in my head that I can scarcely keep up with them. This is part of why I am not currently writing my own fan fiction. My hands cannot keep pace with my mind, so I get frustrated and stop before the story is complete.
Anyway, I will stop there before I start inflicting my life story upon any unsuspecting readers. :P
