Having binge watched the Miss Fisher Modern Murder Mysteries I wondered how the Sparrow situation could be resolved. I came up with this, a solution of sorts, an answer to the questions we are all asking: where is Phryne; what happened to Jack; all the other characters we know and love from the original series. Hope you like it.

A trip to Luna Park turns sour – the only thing that's clear to Jack and Phryne at the outset is that whatever happened almost certainly wasn't an accident.

Starts at the very end of S3E3 Murder and Mozzarella. Phryne and Jack have decided to make do with each other. Their decision is interrupted by a frantic telephone call from Aunt Prudence. They find themselves in a ridiculous situation with mares, murder, made-up matrimony, and a missing marchioness.

Hugh and Dot's wedding day approaches, but Hugh's worried about what should happen on the wedding night. He needs advice - and he's decided Detective Inspector Robinson is just the man for the job. M rating for smut. It's rather smutty. Did I mention it was smutty?

AU Ending to Unnatural Habits. Phryne and Jack are both captured on the Pandarus and they don't escape. They don't stop Sanderson and Fletcher before Pandarus leaves Port of Melbourne.

The honourable Miss Fisher volunteers to assist Inspector Robinson by reading some ... scandalous letters.

Phryne thought back to that electrifying kiss on the air strip, that single, fleeting brush of his lips against hers, the dark look of intent in his eyes, in her own voice as she uttered those words, "Come after me, Jack Robinson". And, there it was—as direct an admission of ownership as she would ever utter. A post-Season 3 reunion fic, because everyone needs at least one.

Phryne has just brought home a young girl, Jane, and Dot decides to take her under her arms. This is set within S1E2, after the household has been disturbed at night by the terrifying Miss Gay who claims to be Jane's aunt. And the big question is - could I make Jack Robinson knit?

Rated T for now...it maybe should be different given some of the more intense scenes...

These are my thoughts on what happened after Season 3, Episode 8. I'm American so excuse any cultural gaffes. I've been struggling with the idea of just how Jack would go after Phryne...

Set at the conclusion of series 3 of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries as the plane goes out of sight. This one started with 3 ideas, but putting them together has evolved into something much bigger & now I'm not sure where it's heading... Chapter 6 'The Swallow Pin' was a separate story which I've now incorporated into the story because I like it so much. I hope you enjoy.

"Oh, Miss Fisher," she positively frozen when she heard her name, afraid that he'd woken to find her watching him sleeping, even more afraid that he hadn't. And then, in a tone of voice she had never heard Inspector Detector Jack Robinson use in all the time she had known him, a hungry growl, a husky, desperate demand, he said, "call me Inspector."

One terrible moment changes everything.

It was her fault, maybe. Or his fault, perhaps...

"You attempted to trade sexual favors for your release," Phryne mock-accused him. "I have no choice but to take you into custody." CLICK! went the sound of the second cuff, binding his wrists behind him and tethering him to the bed frame. "I'm not entirely comfortable with this," he ground out. "That's the idea, Jack," she whispered, lips brushing his ear.

Just a little seed of an idea that turned itself into a fic when I thought of Jack and his love of literature and how he would read Phryne.

"My Father used to lock me in the cupboard to break my spirit" Just a little idea I had about one such occasion.

After a risky slip-up is exposed by the press, the newlywed Robinsons find themselves undercover - in Collingwood. Soon Phryne and Jack aren't only struggling with the newly found poverty and the grim chapters of their past, but also with one another. Busily "helping" Hugh in solving the murder of a young woman, they miss that there is something much darker lurking in the shadows.

Jack and Phryne find themselves in an awkward situation when an investigation doesn't go to plan.

When Phryne decides to play a cruel trick on Jack, she doesn't count on the consequences...

At the age of 12 Jack Robinson sold the coin collection he'd inherited from his uncle and used the money to buy his first bicycle. On that bicycle he rode further than he had ever ridden before. Through the uncharted wilds of North Richmond; where even Captain Flint didn't dare to tread and the Pirate girls of Collingwood ruled the waves.

Jack Robinson always suspected he would die alone. When a straightforward case leads him into the tangled web of Melbourne's organized crime, it looks like he just might. Phryne Fisher could extricate him, if only she knew he needed rescuing. Romance, angst, friendship, and chiseled cheekbones. What could go wrong? It's got a dark start, but I'm a happy endings girl.

"Brave boy." She whispers as they head up the stairs to the door. (M-rated companion piece to "Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot".)

Jack brings Phryne roses for no particular reason. She reacts as most women would - with immediate suspicion.

"Are you aware that you're an idiot?"

A collection of small incidents: Jack gives some advice - with unforeseen results; Dot finds herself more involved in Phryne's love life than she'd wanted; Cec wakes up in the completely wrong bed; Mr. Butler plays cupid, shooting himself in the foot; Hugh learns that seafood is rather unromantic; Mac's prank goes awry and Phryne detects something she really didn't want to know.

Jack is leaving, and Phryne is determined not to be left behind. A bittersweet little fic.

Jack's given advice to Hugh and Phryne to Dot. What advice would they give the other's charge? Conversations between Jack and Dot, and Phryne and Hugh, about the young couple's engagement. Set after 2.11 "Dead Air".

"Why is it, Miss Fisher, that whenever I accompany you to the theatre, somebody ends up dead on the stage?" Phryne and Jack investigate the murder of a cardsharp stagehand. But solving this case may cost both of them more than they had anticipated. Two chapters added to wrap up the crime thread.

... but let me have tonight. When Jack finally makes his move, Phryne is forced to confront not only her own feelings but also the reality of just how badly she has hurt him.

After cutting Miss Fisher from his life, a devastated Jack throws himself into work. But the chase after the killer of a gangster boss gets him into mortal danger himself and Phryne enters a race against time to find her Inspector, uncover the biggest secret of Melbourne's underworld and possibly save her own heart from breaking.
