I used to write a lot when I was in high school and had more free time. Then college hit, later I got married, and now I have children myself. It's crazy to look at this site and my old stories (almost none of which were completed) and think of how, long ago, I would spend hours upon hours just designing characters, and far more writing the story itself. I keep thinking I'll start it up, but three big things stop me:

1) A lack of time. I am a husband and a father now, still a college student, and I'm working, so I usually only get to write more for classes than for fun.
2) I worry that my way of writing, things that I focused on, and how I wanted the story to go through has changed drastically. If I go back to writing some of these stories I worry I'd be like George Lucas and ruin the story because of the large amount of time that has passed.
3) I have not played the games, read the manga, or watched the anime of many of the things I once wrote about in a long time, so while I can read about most of the stories, I've lost touch with most of the sources that I used to write.

Despite this, I have recently been going back and starting to finish some of my stories. I had big plans that were going to be quite long (Dreams of the Heart for instance was going to be at least two giant stories that would link FFX to FF7) and hopefully great stories. Looking at them now makes me think of things I once was fond of that never got completed, at least not the way they were meant to be. So, to those who are still interested in my writing, know that I've not forgotten my stories and I'm trying to scrounge time to finish them.
