Author has written 5 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Merlin, and Harry Potter.
"We don't want to close a book with a sense that life is totally unfair and that there is no light in the darkness; we want to feel that we have been given illumination." -Madeleine L'Engle
Hi. I'm just a girl with ideas. Let me illuminate you.
Reading to me is a fantastic adventure to take part in where limits are only set where the author sees necessary and imagination soars sky high. And when I'm writing I have the privilege to influence the author and set these small guidelines and let the reader fill in the rest. It's a thrilling journey for both the writer and reader, and I take joy in being both. Madeleine L'Engle describes this special relationship beautifully:
"Readers usually grossly underestimate their own importance. If a reader cannot create a book along with the writer, the book will never come to life... The author and the reader must "know" each other; they meet on the bridge of worlds."
So, reader, I think it is necessary to thank you for the opportunity and privilege to meet you at this lovely little imaginary bridge.
Now, you may be wondering who I am. Hold tight, I'm getting there.
I'm an English Major, which delightfully combines the two things I love most: reading and writing.
I tumble day and night. Check out my blog at
The right to be ridiculous is something I hold dear.
Favorite books include Frankenstein, Catch 22, The Book Thief, and, of course, anything about a kid with a lightning shaped scar on his forehead.
I'm twenty years young and twenty one can't come quickly enough.
Read and review. I'll return the favor (or the pleasure, it depends on your writing ability).
I've completed a two novels, and just in case you were wondering, it's ten times better than writing one based off of another author's works.
My challenge for you today is to go out there and write one of your own. If you're own this site, then you obviously have the passion and the drive to make it happen.
So do it.
