To my surprise and delight, I was nominated in the Most Motivational Beta category in the Energize W.I.P. Awards AND WAS AWARDED 1ST PLACE!
For those who don't know me, I also beta/proofread for several writers within the Twilight fandom as well as for Teen Wolf, Merlin and some own fics. I have recently been working with two writers on their Chrolli fics.
Many thanks to all the friends and followers who voted for me.
I have recently removed and edited Oxford Blues, Happy Anniversary, Jasper and You Can't Stop Loving Someone Just Like That. They are now available on Kindle/Amazon under my pen name of Lily G. Blunt. I have renamed Oxford Blues to A Darker Shade of Oxford Blue.
I was bitten by the Twilight bug two and a half years ago and became obsessed with the films, books and Rob.
My first introduction to Fanfiction was Moonless Night'–New Moon as told from Edward's POV. I then went on to read Eternal Equinox (Eclipse) by the same author.
From here, I read many Isle Esme/Honeymoon stories as I felt Breaking Dawn was seriously lacking in this department. For a change, I also read some slash stories and some Jasper and Bella fics, too. I've kept some of them in my favourite list.
It was at this time I had a go at writing my first story–which was a mixture of slash and het and remained incomplete until I edited it recently. I renamed it Heartbeat, and submitted it to the SU4K cause. It is now posted here on FF.
I got into serious writing almost two years ago with my first slash multi-chaptered story (Oxford Blues) and have been writing ever since.
I generally only read and write Edward and Jasper stories, although I have read others.
Over the past few years, I have worked as a beta for many writers and am often asked to pre-read stories, too.
Six of my stories were nominated in the Sunflower Awards - a massive big thank you if you nominated any of mine! I am truly flattered, humbled and honoured by this and was thrilled that 'I Could Always Make You' won BEST VAMP STORY.
These awards are for writers whose stories have received less than 1000 reviews and hope to promote less well-known writers.
'Always' was also nominated for the 'Best Cliff Hanger' in The Torch Awards. Thank you marriedmyedward for the nomination. I love your stories, too!
All writers spend hours and hours planning, drafting, writing, editing and checking again. It is unpaid work and takes up a lot of our spare time. A review only takes a minute or two, so please show writers the consideration by offering your appreciation - even a word or two is a boost.
