Author has written 3 stories for Young Justice, and Batman.
Um...sup everybody. I'm AvenJackel...and this is my profile (just in case that wasn't clear to you guys). I live a very boring life, filled with nothing but school, marching band, and fanfiction...so I don't really have much to share. I love superheroes and comics, with my favorites being anyone in the Bat Family (they are the shit), and I have a very intense love-hate relationship with DC (love because they invented my favorite nonexistent people, and hate because they then proceeded to completely screw over every last on of them).
"We're a nation of somnambulists. And where there are people awake, there's money to be made...There were lots of theories on why we don't sleep enough-- everything from stress at the office to too much caffeine...But I got my own, simpler theory...I think a lot of people just lead lonely lives...And there's something comforting knowing there are a lot of other lonely people out there too, watching the same crappy movie you're watching at two in the morning...Yeah...it's about being alone...in a city of millions...I can relate." -Nightwing (Nightwing #123, 2006)
"A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy's shoulder to let him know that the world hadn't ended." -Batman (The Dark Knight Rises)
"Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us. And on my soul, I swear until my dream of a world where dignity, honor, and justice becomes the reality we all share, I'll never stop fighting. Ever." -Superman (Action Comics #775, 2001)
"If the prospect of living in a world where trying to respect the basic rights of those around you and valuing each other simply because we exist are such daunting, impossible tasks, then what sort of world are we left with? And what sort of world do you want to live in?" -Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman #170)
"There's an ancient wisdom I should have heeded a long time ago, if only I had recognized its truth applies as much to me as to all people. True happiness is along a middle road. There lies the the balance and the harmony with reason and emotion not at war, but hand in hand." -Aquaman (Aquaman Special #1, 1988)
"Life is locomotion. If you're not moving, you're not living. But there comes a time when you've got to stop running away from things and you've got to start running towards something. You've got to forge ahead, keep moving. Even if your path isn't lit, trust that you'll find your way." -Nora Allen (The Flash #1, New 52)
"This. This is what I am. This is who I am, come hell or high water. If I deny it, I deny everything I've ever done, everything I've ever fought for." -Green Arrow (Green Arrow #51)
"There isn't much justice in this world. Perhaps that's why it's so satisfying to occasionally make some." -Martian Manhunter (Justice League Task Force #1)
