"Stories are light." - The Tale of Despereaux
Hi, I'm Koraki.
I like cats, books, nature, and the sea, in addition to a number of other things. Since as long as I can remember I've had a love for books, movies, and the like, and have a passion for creating and discovering stories and artwork that build on beloved fictional worlds.
If I don't go into detail in a review, this usually means that another reviewer has already mentioned what I would have otherwise. My apologies if I critiqued your story and came off somewhat acidic. Also, sorry to any victims of my dumb-kid days, during which time flames were handed out to stories under the guise of "harsh CC".
There aren't many restrictions on what genres and so forth I seek out, neither in fanfic nor original work - if the characters, plot, and writing are interesting and hold up tolerably well, I'm in. In regards to the former, I prefer gen over all other things, and also seek out drabble and oneshot collections with avid interest. For several reasons, I have little interest in shipping, and generally only pay attention to romance-centric fics that involve a particularly well-liked romantic pairing of mine or are extremely well-written. As to the latter, I do have a bit of a predilection for dabbling around in the YA section. Additionally, a special place remains in my heart for those books that I grew up with, or that, in the case of a certain series by Erin Hunter, introduced me to the world of fandom at large. Besides that, fantasy and historical fiction are usual fallbacks. Recently I've gained a slight specific interest in steampunk, and a deep abiding love for the Age of Sail.
Now, hopefully, you know a bit about me. I'm always open to rambling PM conversations, if anyone wants to talk.
