Author has written 35 stories for Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Upstairs Downstairs, Torchwood, and Orphan Black.
My dearest readers, potential readers, and to all those whom it may concern,
I shan't lie when I tell you that I have often wandered what to say in this profile. I never seemed to know what to say about myself, how much to say about me and how much to say about my stories. So I thought I would write you all a short letter, telling you a little bit about each.
My name, my chosen name, is Doctor Blanche Mottershead, a character from the most recent series of Upstairs Downstairs, who is played by the wonderful, beautiful and brilliantly talented Alex Kingston. As to why I chose her, well, all you have to do is watch episode three to see that she is a fanatically strong woman and independent woman and I admire her very much. She is somewhat of an inspiration to me. And that, my dears, is all that I shall reveal about myself. For this account is not about me, but about my stories, and what could have been, and about you.
So, as to these stories. Writing is something that I have always treasured, but only recently found the courage release into the public. I write mainly about that incredible couple, the Doctor and River Song. There is so much I could say about them, but I shall not waist space talking about it here; if you love them as much as I do then I urge you to read my stories and they will make you both laugh and cry (provided I have done my job as a writer and done them justice). I also write about other various couples from both Doctor Who and Torchwood, such as Vastra and Jenny, Jack and Ianto, and Jack and Gwen.
However, aswell as all the timey wimey stuff, I also write about Harry Potter, and am currently working on two longer stories, one involving Narcissa and Hermione, and one involving Narcissa and her relationship with her family. Again, I shall reveal no spoilers, you shall have to read them to find out what happens.
I also, have written a series of one shots about various characters (mainly the one whom I am named after and her partner) from Upstairs Downstairs. Fundamentally I think I write about human emotion and intricacies and the complications that that creates. We are all individuals, we are all complicated, and to quote my dear friend the Doctor "I have never met anyone who wasn't important".
I hope that I have enlightened you all a little as to who I am and what I write about. I have created a twitter account so that any who wish can follow me on that for more frequent updates and spoilers :) (DrBMottershead. Dr Blanche Mottershead)
