Before I had my five children, I worked as a newspaper reporter. This is my first foray into creative writing. I really didn't think I had it in me to write anything but "just the facts," but one night I got the idea for this story and it just came pouring out and I was up until until three a.m. in my kitchen on my laptop. I only wish it was better...but still, I'm having fun so I don't really care that this isn't going to win any awards anytime soon.

Not sure if this is heretical, but I initially had a hard time picturing Rob and Kristen as this Bella and Edward. In my mind, this Edward was more of the Colin Firth (can I get a high five for Mr. Darcy?) type or perhaps Adrian Grenier. But, I described this Edward as the standard Edward to have more appeal to readers here. Selling out? Maybe. Sometimes I think I should have just written it as a story with no "Twilight" connection, but then where the heck would I publish it? Who would read it? That's right, no one. So here it is as B+E, which is just fine.

As for Bella, this Bella is NOT Kristen Stewart. I am not a KStew hater, I just picture this Bella as more of the book Bella - only a little less bitchy.

I'm doing this VERY anonymously. I hate to think of my husband's reaction if he found out I am writing a Twilight fanfic. This is the only secret I have ever kept from him.

My husband accidentally discovered this story on my laptop and now it's all out in the open - and he's been totally awesome about it!!! Hooray for marrying a fantastic man!
