Author has written 53 stories for Kim Possible, and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. Bio- I'm a film and animation industry professional who also dabbles in the comics field. As such, I tend to write and e-mail myself lots of odd little story notes and ideas as the muse hits me. I actually make my living this way, so most of those ideas go into the big fat "see if I can develop it into something salable" folder, but occasionally I happen to get an idea for something that's a bit too character/plot specific to a certain property to re-purpose for anything else... and when that happens, I have been known to sometimes work on one of those for my own amusement, or in order to get in the right frame of mind for something else. However, as writing is meant to be read, someone suggested I post some of those bits here. Foolishly I did and thus began my descent into fanfic hell... the horror... the horror... Update 7/29/2012 It's been a while since I last updated, and a LOT has happened. AT THE CENTERFOLD OF THE STORM technically broke through the 200,000 hit mark a few months ago, but due to the "splash page" effect that's caused when people log into Chapter One and then jump to the latest chapter, I held off on commenting until enough additional hits had been registered to compensate for those "not really reading the page, just passing through" hits. However, now that ATCOTS has hit 215,000 hits, together with "lost hits" from when the counters were broken, I think it's safe to say that there REALLY have been over 200,000 page views to go with the 489 reviews, 262 favs and 274 follows. The support you folks at FFN has shown for this little epic fantasy of mine has really been just amazing. However, none of that prepared me for the real mindblower. After spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to write about my reactions without getting maudlin, I've finally decided instead to simply print the letter as it was sent to me: Hello SHADO Commander. We at the Fannie Committee would like to congratulate you for winning the following awards: (3-way tie) Best Original Character Name - Sue Donem Best Original Character - Ralph Emerson Wow. I'm overwhelmed, incredibly humbled and literally at a loss for words... something that doesn't happen very often. So, thank you, all of you, for your many kind words, support and continuing readership. The Kimmunity really is the best fan community on the internet. (And I'll try to get those updates coming a little faster.) 4/14/12 -12:10 AM, CST - Total words archived : 500,506 words! One year and five months since I started writing KP Fics on FFN, and I've finally hit the half-million word mark. Now, on to the next five hundred thousand... That's on top of the honor of having made it to the final nomination round with 17 nominations divided over 15 categories (with Hop On Possible also vying for the Best KiGo award.) Thanks to all those who nominated and voted! UPDATE 9-10 -2011 - HOLY COW! I've been putting up stories on FFN for a whole year as of TODAY! Over 400,000 words and 50 tales if you count the parts of the first OmKimbus separately. I iz offishally KRAZEE! For those wondering how I pick which story I'm working on next, the answer is that there is no exact answer; a lot of it is just on a whim. That said, I do give priority to keep updating the titles that are getting the most reviews, favs and reader alerts. That means, barring unforeseen inspirations, I'm probably mostly working on my already started long-form stories in the following order of priority: AT THE CENTERFOLD OF THE STORM now published up to Chapter 60 with 61 (of a planned 66) waiting in the wings. It's hard to believe all of this came from a simple little 1500 word one shot, but at this point the story only has a few more chapters to go 'til the stopping point that I originally envisioned. However, since I recently wrote the short BRINGING IT ON which placed both BIO and PUTTING IT ON within the ATCOTS universe, you can expect a few more tales bouncing around this continuity. THE PRINCESS DIARIES - THE KIGO EDITION - Co-Winner of the 2011 FANNIE AWARD FOR BEST KIGO! Chapter 4 is up now. This one came out of nowhere, literally in the middle of a forum post. I've wanted to do a riff on Meg Cabot's work for a while, but I always thought it would be 1-800-Missing or The Mediator which would end up being the target (and if you're a Kim fan and haven't read either of those series, you might want to give them a looksie, even though they are in the young adult section.) THE BACK UP PLAN - Winner of the 2011 FANNIE AWARD FOR BEST CROSSOVER/ FUSION! Ironically, I hadn't planned on starting to release this story back before my shoulder injury, but once I did put up a section, it shot to nearly the top of the popularity lists. I guess putting Kim into the middle of a certain DC Detectives story continuity and into a certain costume WOULD be popular though. :) Chapter Four is in the works. NIGHTMARE OF ECSTASY - The Strange Life and Fate of Ron Stoppable - A brand new one based on a NoDrog challenge at the Haven. Ron and Kim both discover new sides of themselves while Ron's mom draws all the wrong conclusions... or does she? KIGO & THE BRAIN - A Tale of Mice and Kim (& Shego) - I'd been thinking about this one for a while and finally the desire to write it overrode my common sense. Response to the first two chapters was much better than I had expected... let's face it, it IS a weird idea... so Chapter 3 will eventually hit. THE KIMBERLY HORROR PICTURE SHOW - this is meant to be a quickie, maybe four "acts" total, more or less encompassing many of the plot points of Rocky Horror. Look, I'll be honest that I'm doing this one for the songs... and if you thought Shego singing a riff on Sweet Transvestite was over the top, I'm in the middle of Kim's variation on "Touch-a Touch-a Touch me" now and it's... really dirty. :) Second Chapter is up now. TIME TO PANIC! - The Hitchhikers Guide Meets Kim Possible? That's the idea, with the Vogons and Lowardians allied and Kim actually being from... wait, why am I telling you? Go read it? THE SLASH WRITERS GUIDE TO BETTER KIGO - The third chapter is up and the fourth is in the notes stage. This one will be a little difference as Shego's taking over as the 'writer,' and at some point Yori's Haiku presentation on her version of the events of the series will pop up. Yeah, MORE haiku. I also have a couple of other KP Projects In The Works - about 10 of them, actually - but here are a few that are far enough along that I think I can admit to working on: MONKEY MIA - The music of ABBA, the angst of Mystical Monkey Power! The sequel/expansion for EGGNOGGED - The Night Before The Night Before Xmas. People really to have enjoyed the first short... or just the idea of a Possible orgy occurring in the Possible residence. The working title is About The Last Night Before The Night Before Xmas - or - Sexual Perversity in Middleton. Another Seuss tribute... the title of which will be either "Go KiGo Go!" or "One Villain, Two Villain, Green Villain, Blue Villain" This one had been cooking for quite a while, but it's not QUITE ready to come out of the oven yet. There are a few other things that have surfaced in my notes that I'll probably be leaking out in the future. There really is an idea for adding on to And The Bad News Is, and a new serious KiGo tale. Recently I also broke down and created a deviant art account as SHADO-Commander. Not much there right now, but there are a few original snippets. If you're interested, it's: http:/// By the way I mainly started that account so I could comment on a really nifty piece of art inspired by At The Centerfield of the Storm by Mildewed-Meccamptech... you can see it by going to my dev page and looking at the favorites, or direct at http:///art/Asilos-Magdalena-192392450 For those wishing to see the brilliant alternate Kim Possible character designs by Craig Rousseau mentioned in the forward to ATCOTS chapter 6, they can be seen at http:///gallery/kp/kp.jpg Learn what's really important about writing as "J.K.
