Lowe (ME! Surprise!) Hath should have died the night the Pharaoh of Egypt set out to destroy the worshipers of death. But his son saved her, inadvertently earning a place in her heart. So when Hath takes her place as the last of the necromancers, she does so with every intention of using her morbid arts to win the love of her young prince, now Pharaoh of Egypt himself. Xius only wants to avoid being remembered in history as the pharaoh who unbalanced maat by coming to power without a queen. When virgins are murdered, his general is kidnapped, and a plague threatens Egypt, keeping up protocol is going to be the least of his worries. However, it is the coming of a pale young woman from the future that is the undoing of them both. "Wendy" by (bet you can't guess) T.S. Lowe Wendy knows she tends to be a mother hen to her friends. But if she doesn’t, who will? Her boys are lost from their parents in more ways than one, especially the mysterious Kolya, who awkwardly befriended them after fleeing the Russian mafia. She almost wishes he hadn’t when she finds herself on the end of what must be a one-sided love. After all, why would the cool, handsome, aloof Kolya have any interest in a nagging she-man like her? But when Kolya’s past catches up with them, getting rid of an unwanted crush will be the last thing on Wendy’s mind. "Erase Me" by T.S. Lowe Jasmine is ruled by her anxiety disorder. Sadly, black mailing coaches, ex-gang member best friends, and stupid-fine music teachers don’t give a damn. Jasmine takes anxiety to a whole new level. All she wants is to sing in the back of the choir and to convince Sam to play zombie slasher video games with her. But when she draws the attention of a terrifying–but handsome–student music teacher and the school’s wrestling coach, it all goes to pot. One wants her to sing a solo in front of the school without puking, the other wants her to… um… yeah. One of them is willing to use Sam’s shady past with street gangs and drugs to black mail Jasmine into giving him what he wants. Throw in the fact that she may or may not be in love with the other teacher and life just gets unbearably complicated. If she’s ever going to get out of this without putting Sam behind bars, she’s going to have to push through her overwhelming fear of everything, even if it means destroying herself in the process. Not on Amazon because some publisher bought it: "The Opal and The Genie" by T.S. Lowe Based off my popular Legend of Zelda fanfiction, The Opal and The Genie is an upending of the common fairy tale trope of the princess being handed over as a prize to whoever fulfill the King's errand. Mix in a helping of 1001 Arabian Nights and you get the story of Princess Kyanna, who is in love with a knight-to-be, but is married off by her father, the King, to the nation's war hero. In an attempt to win her affections and, therefore, stop her from running away to her 'true' love, the war hero tells her stories he gathered over his war campaign. When a genie begins to interrupt her dreams, demanding the princess follow her dreams outside of being together with some loser man, the war hero's stories begin to be more than just stories. You can find the first four chapters on Wattpad, Quotev, or Fictionpress. The full book is on Readict. PLEASE BE SURE TO LEAVE A REVIEW! |
