*I solemnly swear I am up to no good.*
First and foremost, I would like to thank every person who has favorited me as a writer or has favorited the stories I've written, and I'd also like to extend that gratitude to those who have taken the time out of their schedulese to review a story of mine. I truly do appreciate it. When I get the email alert that something of mine has been favorited or reviewed, a huge smile appears on my face as I attempt to fathom the idea of people actually liking something I've written. It takes a lot to write something and then publish it (whether that publishing is onto a website such as this or an actual book with real pages and everything!), and it means so much to me that people enjoy what I've written. My day is always brightened when I receive an email alert from this site because of your favorites or reviews. So: thank you so much.
Hey, there, I'm Dani. I'm twenty-one years old, and I live in the United States. Writing is a passion I've held for many years. Fanfiction is something I discovered long ago and have been addicted to ever since. :)
This profile has been around for many years. I'm sure in some things I've posted I still refer to myself as "Pidge," a nicknamed donned by another fanfiction-addicted friend of mine. One day I'll go back and edit things... when I can be bothered.
So recently I finally got back into my email (Yahoo is such a pain) and have started to (again) receive the alerts from people reading me still! I'm amazed :) I have been hit with major writing block for awhile now, but I have missed writing so much. So, to any of my readers—new or old—who find this old page... Send me a PM. Prompt me. Get my attention. Inspire me, motivate me; let me know some things you might want to read from me. If I should pick up on old stories or start something new. It's been a while, guys, but I'm still around.
One of my stories (The Lady of the Names) was translated to French by the lovely worldoflockedrooms. The link to it is here: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9902153/1/The-Lady-of-the-Names
“Fan fiction is what literature might look like if it were reinvented from scratch after a nuclear apocalypse by a band of brilliant pop-culture junkies trapped in a sealed bunker. They don’t do it for money. That’s not what it’s about. The writers write it and put it up online just for the satisfaction. They’re fans, but they’re not silent, couchbound consumers of media. The culture talks to them, and they talk back to the culture in its own language.”
P.S. 'Because I'm Batman.' It's the answer to every problem.
