Author has written 10 stories for Batman the Animated Series, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Psych, and Batman.

Hey, folks! The name's Kay or KN03, and I'm a second-year student pursuing my degree in music & creative writing. My stories are all written purely for fun & relaxation, and as a way to exercise my creative writing skills. To everyone who's read and reviewed my story so far, I am eternally grateful. Reviews are the fuel for my posting engine, especially "critique" ones.

My promise to the readers:

I will never twist, butcher, mutilate, hijack, or otherwise destory another person's artwork. So far, I've only been writing for Batman: the Animated Series, a cartoon series with a lot of thought and careful planning behind it. I respect the work that went into BTAS and hope that my fics will reflect this. For me, this means staying as true to the original characters and intent that I can (for instance, I will not write slash between Batman and the Joker. Just... no.) I realize that art is subjective, and we all have slightly different interpretations; my goal is to stay as true to the style of the original as I can. If you feel that I am not doing this, please call me out on it and I will be extremely grateful.

I will not write sappy romance fics. Fanfiction has a bad name in the writing community in large part due to poorly written shipping fics with OCs and/or Mary Sues. Besides the fact that writing such a fic would violate promise number one, it would also perpetuate the stereotype of fanfiction as cheesy, over-the-top emotional work with a poor writing style. This does not mean I will never write a romance fic. But emotions (romance in particular) are extremely hard to do right, and I'm still experimenting.

I will not flame on other people's work. Yeah, yeah, there are a few things that bug me about fanfiction (see above paragraph). But I also realize that this is fanfiction, meant for fun, yada yada yada, and I'm not the Supreme Literature Judge of the Universe. Even if I were, I'm pretty sure that sarcasm and venom aren't effective vessels for communication.

I will update regularly. Yeah, I'm in school and super busy. Long stretches of time may go between fics, but not between chapters! I will update at least once a week, more if possible.

I will welcome any and all criticism. Seriously. If you think there's something I could do better, please tell me. Criticism is the sincerest form of praise. If you point out a mistake or stylistic boo-boo, that will mean A) Kay knows what to watch for in the future and B) readers will get something better next time around. A well-written critique review actually means more to me than the generic "great chapter update soon" (though I'll take that too!)

And if you're into Canvas Rider (casual game/art), check out my Two-Face track here:

There are two ways to reach the end and twenty-two easter eggs.
