Hello there,

one day I am going to be a teacher. Up to then I'll be stuck at University and pretend to be older than I feel. In exception on bookfairs or when I am on caffeine. Then I mainly act more immature than I actually am.

And as a profile mainly is a lot of self-centered and obviously some kind of self-portrait... let's be self-centered and tell random things :)

I discovered a personal like for archangels. It happened when I read Ms. Garnets Angel- a fantastic book.

Something which probably will influence some of the stories I write. The four archangels I like are Gabriel, Michael, Raphael and Uriel. So my mind often disregards me when I hear somewhere those names. It mostly ends up in an internal comparison between angel and real-life person.

(Facts) About the human being:

I. The human being is unable to recognize the second it isn't thinking.

II. It took hundredths of years to build a society, yet it will take only a few days without any electricity to break that system.

III. Humans are the only creatures who are able to annihilate themselves. A mouse would never build a mouse trap.

IV. We depend on nature. Nature doesn't depend on us. Why aren't we thoughtful?

V. Humans always want to understand everything, yet that is not quite possible. For our brain is our system to think and we try to understand its processes. Basically a system attempts to understand and explain itself, which is quite impossible. I think. But whoever wants to prove me wrong, feel free to do it :)

VI. We live on a planet dominated by spiders and insects. If any alien ever described our planet, he/she/it would never mention humans, cows, horses, birds or anything like that. The greatest biomass and diversity are made up of small animals like spiders and insects. Some study found out any human being is rarely more than three feet away from any such a small animal.

Or those aliens would call us "a diversity of bacteria in possession of a highly specified bunch of cells".

VII. If we visited another planet, we would be aliens.

Category of favorites and what actually no one (else but one self) cares about

Books: David Hunter series by Simon Beckett, Hill/Jordan series by Val McDermid, Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Momo (The Grey Gentlemen or The Men in Grey) by Michael Ende, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell, Folly series by Ben Aaronovich, Nachtzug nach Lissabon by Pascal Mercier

Manga: Black Butler (I-XVIII), Death Note (I-VI), Another (I-II), Box of Spirits (I-III), Claymore (I-XXV)

TV-Shows: Wire in the Blood, Spooks, Outcasts, Lie to me, Sherlock (BBC 2010), Hustle, North & South (BBC 2004), Castle, Moonlight, Dr Who, Robin Hood (BBC), Dexter, Supernatural, Torchwood, Parade's End, Bones, Person of Interest

Film/Movie: Dead Poet's Society, The Chorus, The Hobbit I-III, The Lorax, Robin Hood (Kevin Costner), Welcome to the Land of Shtis, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Persuation, Pride and Prejudice, Third Star, Stardust, 12 Years A Slave, Midnight in Paris, The Book Thief, Cloud Atlas, Frozen

Music: Linkin Park, Sunrise Avenue, James Blunt, Billie Piper, The Wombats, Nickelback, The Pogues, City, Pink Floyd, rather film music, soundtrack, Trock (Chameleon Circuit)

Animals: lions, hedgehogs, koalas, bears

Naturally I could add 'and more' to every category. Yet, that would destroy the point of it, so I won't. (;

Colour: Mood dependent

Attitude towards...

...life: openhearted

...sarcasm: welcome

...insiders: having far too much at the moment.

Another, quite sensitive point is the huge issue of reviews. Naturally, everyone wants some and most are too lazy, shy or insecure about writing reviews. I don't think it necessarily has to be a review, yet alone a short feedback in a private message (or however it's accurately called) would be encouraging (mostly, somehow). An honest opinion (no lie or exaggeration, like "everything was great/horrible" but "quite great, though one thing you'd improve...) would be a real help for any writer.

One can only learn from mistakes and improve (in several ways) if someone else might spot this mistake and tell one.

When reading a book, hardly anyone thinks about writing the author a letter or a mail, just to say you've read his or her book. Here you can do it. :)

-o-o-o-O-O-O-o-o-o- -o-o-o-O-O-O-o-o-o- -o-o-o-O-O-O-o-o-o-

I am freak enough to think: One day, there will be a book in the stores and it is going to be mine. And the mistakes in it will be mine too. *evil laughter* Actually, I am taking this a little bit more serious, crying over research and being overly protective of characters. Right now being stuck at how to turn "several hours passed" into three to four descriptive sentences of what actually happens.

One of the worst experiences got me when I finally found my names for the main characters. It took me half a year and I could not change them anymore, because the second I had the right names for them they finally came alive. I was so happy, jumping around like a rubber ball and wanted to tell my friends. On the way to lunch (and them) I grabbed one of those "monthly papers to grab" from our library and read it on my way. Now guess how the MCs of the book which was promoted were called. Exactly. It was such a shock. In the end, I never took any of those papers again.

Formal stuff, yet probably more important than the rest of this profile

"Accordings"

According the story "The Shot" Sachita and Selective scifi junkie helped me correcting some bad and not so bad mistakes. Thank you for that very much!

According the story "For better or for worse" Shorina was so kind to help me overwriting and correcting mistakes. Thank you for doing it!

Disclaimer

I do not own the rights of any books or TV-shows I post stories about. Only the ideas what to do with them are mine=)

Though the images (covers) are mine. Until now. (:

5-19-13: And here comes the first exception: The clock isn't mine, though I do not know where it is from. Nor is my profile picture. (Yes, I do like Sherlock's Mary Morstan.)

-x-x-

Currently I'm working on 'No on knows 'cept Lorelei' (and 'Things change or don't'). Progress is rather slow, but hey, university's more important.

Want to re-write "Meeting Somewhere else" (grammar, style) one day & still waiting for time and leisure to actually do it. Same with re-writing "Knapp daneben ist auch vorbei".

Finished re-writing "No one knows 'cept Lorelei" (my Baby story). The German version of it is on fanfiktion.de.
