Dragon Ball Pact: "This pact is meant to hold together the remaining fans of Dragon Ball/Z/GT. Whether you like the FUNimation dub or the Ocean dub, whether you like the manga or the anime, whether you say 'Saiyan' or 'Saiyajin', we must stand strong and united, for we are the last of our dying race. And all those who are true fans, post this up on your page, forever proclaiming your Dragon Ball heritage. Be proud, for you are a true Saiyan!"
In Honor of Stupid People:
In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed to stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods:
On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping. (Shoot, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)
On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special? Maybe it's plot by Frito to get people arrested so they don't have to pay up!)
On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap," (and that would be how??...)
On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion).
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down." (well...duh, a bit late, huh)!
On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought??...)
On packaging for a Rowena iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time)?
On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.)
On Nytol Sleep Aid -- "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because??...)
On most brands of Christmas lights -- "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to...what)?
On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious)
On Sainsbury's peanuts -- "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash)
On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, ooh...fly Delta?)
On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." (I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)
On a Swedish chainsaw -- "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals." (Oh my ..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)
Four children die as a result of child abuse. Three of the four children are under the age of four.
A report of child abuse happens every ten seconds.
Child abuse happens in every socio-economical stand point, educational level, religion, and ethnicity.
Children who have been abused are 2.5 times more likely to abuse alcohol and 3.8 times more likely to abuse drugs.
One third of abused and neglected children will end up abusing their own children - thus continuing this horrid cycle of hate.
Child abuse is never the child's fault. Every day there are well over 9.6 million children in the U.S. alone who suffer silently. Afraid to expose the family secret. If you believe that child abuse is a horrible cycle that must be put to an end, post this on your profile. Let us become the beacon of hope to those children who must fight the silent battle day by day. Together, we can end their suffering. Their lives already have so many tricks against them. Let us fight with them and let them all know that they are not alone and loved.
Put this on your profile if you support the end of child abuse.
-When you're up high all the stuff that seems confusing and messed up suddenly become crystal clear.
-Of course it's all in your head, but that doesn't mean it's not real.
-If I were the rain that binds together the Earth and the sky, whom in all eternity will never mingle. Would I be able to bind two hearts together?
-Live to the fullest, age to the fullest, go bald to the fullest… and die long after I do. And if possible, die with a smile.
-We should not shed tears. That is a surrender of the body to the heart. It is only proof. That we are beings that do not know. What to do with our hearts
-There are two types of fights. As we have put our lives in battle, we must be able to distinguish between the two. The fight to protect life, and the fight to protect pride.
-Be who you wanna be not what others wanna see.
-Life isn't mesured by the number of breaths you take, it's mesured by the number of moments that take your breath away.
-I would rather die having spoken in my way, than live having spoken in yours
-We can never turn back the pages of time, though we may wish to relive a happy moment, or say goodbye just one last time, we never can, because the sands of time continue to fall, and we can't turn the hourglass over.
-Some see things the way they are and ask why, I dream things that never were and ask why not
-It's better to die fighting for freedom, than to live a life in chains.
-It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
-To die would be an awfully big adventure.
-Nothing is true, Everything is permitted.
-Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
-"You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." - Ray Bradbury
-Sometimes you put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.
-When the rich wage war its the poor who die
