About me: I'm 24, a Sikh and Yorkshire lass and love fantasy and escapism (it beats having to make round chapatis). I love a widespread genre of books and I would just love to lounge about with a good book everyday if I had my way.
Harry Potter... what's to say, it dominated my whole adolescence waiting for the next books to come out.
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit... pure genius and the films were good too.
Chronicles of Narnia... Caspian is obviously my favourite character, just like he always has been since I was nine :) I loved watching the BBC adaptations and used to go to the library every week just to renew the video tapes... wow, that makes me feel old *sniff*
Sophie Kinsella: 'Can you keep a secret', 'Twenties Girl', 'The Undomestic Goddess' & 'I've got your number'. Meg Cabot: Boy Series.
Lauren Weisenberg: 'Chasing Harry Winston' are some other favourites of mine.
Jojo Moyes' 'Me Before You' is a tear-jerker and an unconventional love story that will grip your heart. 'The One Plus One' is a heart-warming read.
Julia Quinn: Bridgerton Series - some fantastic characters and story lines. Cathy Maxwell: Basically all books.
Jane Austen - what can I say? I love every single book of hers though Pride and Prejudice will always be at the top of my list. Again as a ten year old, I was obsessed with the BBC adaptation and used to sit with my mum and watch it... repeatedly. Colin Firth as Mr Darcy *sigh*.
Richelle Mead: Vampire Academy is the second best series I have ever read (HP will always be first) and I absolutely cannot wait for the film to release. (July 2014 - Unbelievable!) They've got a great cast and I love the lead actors - Danila Kozlovsky as Dimitri? Swoon-worthy :) Bloodlines - Amazing with Sydney and Adrian making a great pair. Georgina Kincaid Series - WOW! I just fell head over heels in love with our dreamy writer Seth. Age of X series is something I’ve just stated and it has a promising start.
Rachel Caine: Morganville Vampire Series - I just love Michael and Shane respectively and after 15 books, I cannot believe it is over! Will forever miss Myrnin and his fanged bunny slippers
L.J. Smith: Night World, Vampire Diaries, Dark Visions and the Secret Circle. Stephanie Meyer: Twilight - Team Edward (I can't help it!)
Samantha Towle: The Alexandra Jones Series (But i recommend reading all her books.)
Summer Lane: Collapse Series - OMG just amazing. This is the first series she's published and it is terrific and a definite page turner. I'm currently waiting for Book 4 to come out.
Divergent: A gripping read. The film is just as good as the book. Onto book 3 now...
Films: (anything expect horror.)
LOTR, Star Wars, Avengers, A Walk to Remember, Coyote Ugly, You Got Mail, One Fine Day, Pirates (you know which ones I mean) X-men, 4 Lions, Need for Speed and Bend it like Beckham are to name a few from a very long list.
Bollywood -To name a few of my favourites. All are such amazing films, modern classics (as I call them) full of romance and drama. I've lost track of how many times I've watched them. Oh and do not be put off by the running time :p
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 'Somethings happen'.
Kabhie Kushi Kabhi Gham 'Sometimes happiness, sometimes sadness'.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge 'The Brave heart will take the bride'.
Mohabbatein 'Love Stories'.
Dil to Pagal Hai 'The heart is crazy'.
Vivah 'From engagement to marriage'.
TV Series: Doctor Who (David Tennant), BBC's The Paradise, Merlin & Atlantis. Downton Abbey, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, The Graham Norton Show. Nikita. Brooklyn Nine Nine. Vampire Diaries. The Originals. The Big Bang Theory. Breaking Bad (Gotta love Aaron Paul).
