I love to read!! I do not consider myself a writer, but I enjoy reading others vision and spin on my favorite characters.

My biggest pet peeve (other than grammer, proper use of words, and sentence structures) is putting other people's work down through a review. Similar to Ebert's reviews of movies, I read fanfic's reviews to gadge the audience's reaction to the story. So understandably, I become very upset when I come across a review where the individual used it as a forum to puff theirselves up and put the writer down.

There are some who believe that if it makes you feel better then go ahead and say it. Well, I am not a member of that school of thought. Frankly, if what you have to say does not bring value to the writer and readers, then keep it to yourself. In fact, call your BFF, then make sure that you rant and rave your thoughts and your perceptions of the story to them. Then after you got it all out of your system, come back to the forum and write a constructive review.

My next pet peeve is beginning a wonderful story where the plot thickens. I click "Next". The story is moving along really great. My face is planted into the monitor. I am literally sitting on the edge of my seat. I yelled to my family, "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I'm trying to read." I hurt their feelings by being insensitive, but I gotta know what happens next! I click "Next". I have my hands locked in the praying position, hoping that the end turns out right. My mind is cluttered with many possibilities. With all these things, I get to the end of the chapter to only discover; the dreaded cliffhanger with the DAMN story incomplete!!!
