Poll: Where did you find out about my stories? Vote Now!
Author has written 32 stories for Harry Potter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Lyoko, Azumanga Daioh, Bleach, Naruto, Avatar: Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Steven Universe, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
My 15th anniversary of joining fanfiction.net is coming up in August. So, I was thinking of doing a reward for some lucky visitors to my profile page: PM me a prompt in any of the fandoms you see below in my beta reading fandom list and I'll fulfill as many as possible. It gets me writing again, and hopefully you folks like the results. I may be descending into middle age, but that's no excuse for me to let myself languish in my output.
I received no feedback on my potential next project, a 13-part Lapidot series. So, I started a fact-finding poll (and actually posted it to my profile page!). Please vote. It very well may determine what I write next.
I want to fill The Kadic Dossier up to 100 drabbles by my 15th anniversary of joining the site.
In non-writing, I have added some more stories to my favs list, including incomplete stories for the first time. Given my decade-plus on the site, I still feel the honor is still pretty exclusive. My unofficial beta profile on my profile page has also been trimmed down to just the fandoms I want to beta for - and I AM accepting beta submissions (through preferably under 50,000 words). I will also be doing another run-through of old archives to see if I can find anything worthy to add to my C2, Luna's Pensieve. If you know any good, pre-2010 Luna one-shots, I'd love to hear about it. Lastly, I find I am doing more and more of my reading on AO3. Certain fandoms, like Steven Universe, seem far more lively over there.
Beta reading fandom list (newest adds listed first):
Fandoms I am accepting beta submisisons in: Steven Universe, Harry Potter, Legend of Korra, Avatar: the Last Airbender, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Azumanga Daioh, Code Lyoko, Naruto, Frozen
Fandoms I am confident in beta-reading for, but am probably not your best option for: Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Fullmetal Alchemist, Chobits (manga-verse, at least), Karin/Chibi Vampire (manga-verse), FLCL, The Avengers (the recent movie only), Pokemon, Teen Titans (not Go!), Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Inuyasha, anything Read or Die, Gundam Wing, Kim Possible, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo, Trigun, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Yotsuba, Cowboy Bebop, Card Captor Sakura, Eureka Seven, the Twilight series, Sailor Moon, Kodacha, Oban Star-Racers, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, Lisa McMann's Wake series; Ben 10, X-Men: Evolution, almost any Studio Ghibli movie, most Disney and Pixar animated movies (including the Disney Fairies movies), the Martian (book or movie), Kill Bill, Kingsman: the Secret Service, Star Wars (the original trilogy, mostly), How to Train Your Dragon (the first movie; still haven't seen the sequel or read the books...)
Fandoms I can beta for, but forgive my gaps in knowledge: Kill La Kill, One Piece, Ghost in the Shell (any), Samurai Champloo (been a while since I last saw it), Code Geass (only seen CN version), Bleach (the same, but very well-read in the fandom), Durarara!!!, Excel Saga, Hellsing, Chuck (TV), Heroes (TV), Timeless (TV)
I'm sure I could add to this list. Anyway, feel free to message me with requests. I am a fast reader, when I have the time to do so.
I am 30-plus years old.
I hold down two jobs that give me, maybe, one complete off day a week (if I am lucky).
I still love fanfiction.
Those are the main things.
No, I have not abandoned my writing; I just find it easier to read fanfics lately than actually have time to sit down and write some.
If you have prompts for any fandom in my (updated!) beta list, please PM me and I'll see what I can do. I need to get myself motivated to write more.
In closing, thanks for stopping by and humoring this harried bibliophile.
Location: Outside of Kansas City, Mo.
Interesting biographical point a reader is likely NOT to skip over: I went to high school and college with American Idol season 7 winner David Cook.
