SPECIAL UPDATE (January 24, 2016)
Hey all! Tear of Light here. I just wanted to update you all on a few things.
First off, I'll be changing my writing status from ACTIVE to SEMI-ACTIVE. For a while now, I've been struggling to maintain a consistent posting schedule as some of you know. While I've tried to lessen this issue by prolonging posting updates, I unfortunately can no longer keep up with the monthly update schedule that I've set up for myself. And hence the change in writing status.
That said, I am not completely disappearing, which leads me to the second thing. While my writing status has changed, I've also decided to change how I update. In the past, for a story, I would write a few chapters in advance before posting the first chapter, while continuing to write the story in the background. This gave me a buffer when I got stuck on a particular chapter, as I had a few chapters leeway before things had to get posted. As of late, I find that that few chapter buffer is no longer enough, especially because of my increasingly busy schedule (see the third point below for details). So, what I've opted to do for multi-chapter stories from now on is to finish writing the story first, before I post the chapters. This way, this guarantees there will be no interruption in the flow of the story, and you all get the updates faster (I'm thinking weekly or bi-weekly updates when a story is ready to go). Keep in mind, this will only apply to any stories longer than one chapter. One shots and drabbles will be posted/updated in random intervals in between multi-chaptered stories when I can manage it.
Now on to the last thing, the reason why I'm pushing back my writing schedule in the first place. For over a year now, I've been working with some friends to create an anime. Yep, you read right, we're working on an anime. While progress was initially slow at the beginning, things have really picked up over the last few months, and we're now on track to show a sneak peak of our work at an anime convention coming up in May. While that's awesome and exciting news for us, within the past month, we've had a few people leave the already small team, leaving the rest of us to fill in the holes. Had this been the only thing I was doing, that would have been a piece of cake. As it is right now however, I'm currently working two part time jobs ,as well as doing my writing (not just my fanfiction, I'm still working on becoming a novelist as well), so it's making things a bit challenging for me to say the least. So, if you don't hear from me from time to time, this is the reason why.
Thank you all for your support and readership over the years. While I might not be around as much as I used to be, I'm still here. Feel free to drop me a line from time to time, whether it's to say hi or to even find out about my anime project. I'll do what I can to respond back to any messages/reviews/comments in a timely manner, but when it comes to story updates, those will be a bit longer in the making.
See you all around!
