A long-time avid reader of fanfiction, I've decided to take the plunge and try my hand at writing my own stories.
I greatly appreciate any constructive criticism. While I love compliments (who doesn't?!) I can't improve without critiques. In my opinion, there is always room for improvement and therefore I strive to improve with every story that I write. Alternatively, if you wish to shower me in praise then I will gladly accept. ;)
I enjoy writing reviews, and will always remain kind when writing them, although I will give constructive criticism when I feel it is merited. I feel that people should write what makes them happy--even if it's not to my liking--but at the same time, we have a responsibility to the characters to keep our stories true to their nature.
Most of my Scarecrow stories will lean towards the Nolanverse Scarecrow interpretation rather than his comic or animated counterpart, although my characterization of him will contain elements from both of those. However, I have written a few stories based on Crane's comic book appearances.
A clarification of timelines: many of my one-shot stories take place in separate "universes"--for example, my Crane/OC fics are not connected to most of my other fics. I have written a few sequels, which are noted in the story summaries. Therefore, if you read multiple stories of mine then you may notice that one story may conflict with the events of another.
A note regarding my Crane/OC fics: Although Jonathan Crane is portrayed in the Batman films as someone largely unconcerned with others, I believe that he would enjoy companionship with the right person under the right circumstances.
I have tried very, very hard not to make my OC a Mary Sue. However, I am going to be completely honest and say that she may have Mary Sue tendencies. While I assure you that I will do my best to keep any Sue-like traits to a minimum, I cannot deny that she may have elements that other Mary Sues have. I will try to keep it in check--and will be very mindful of your critiques.
A fair warning: due to health issues, I am not always able to update as frequently as I would like. Therefore, it may take quite a while to finish a WIP. I apologize for this but at the present there is little I can do about it. I mention this only because when there is a large gap between updates, people often inquire as to whether or not I plan on continuing the story; by adding this footnote, I hope to clear up any confusion.
