About Me

I discovered Fanfiction in 2011, while trying to feed my Twilight addiction. Since then, I've discovered a whole world of amazing people and stories. At first I couldn't get enough of reading and spent my time lurking in the shadows, in awe that there were so many brilliant writers here and that I'd been missing out on the fun for so long.

I've always had many AU plots floating in my head to all my favourite books, films and TV shows that I love. I was so relieved to have found an outlet for them. I finally gathered the courage to write some down and I now spend more time writing than I do reading, but I still love to do both. At first I only really read E/B vampire fics, but I now read almost anything. My favourite stories do still tend to be Canon AU, and that's what I love to write.

I know that I'm very much playing catch-up when it comes to TwiFic. I loved all the books and I do like all the characters and pairings as they are, however the way the Cullens left Bella in New Moon has never rung true for me. It distressed me when I first read it and still did when I read it for the tenth time. Even before I started reading Fanfiction my mind regularly roamed to all the disastrous things that might have happened as a result of this decision. I realise there are already a lot of NM AUs out there, but I still I feel inspired to write them and I have many NM AU plots swimming around in my head, but I understand if you think you have read too many of these already. I personally believe in the Multiverse theory (used in my all favourite franchises: Stargate, Red Dwarf, Marvel among many others), which suggests that every single decision possibility creates a parallel universe, so the possibilities are infinite. Hence...there can never be too many NM AUs!

I should also say that even though I do like an Edward and Bella HEA, my stories will take a long time to get there, if at all. In the Canon Twilight world Edward and Bella belong together, but in AU anything can happen! There are so many brilliant E/B stories out there already, so I've taken a different route with some of my stories. The more I have written, the more I decided that I couldn't forgive Edward and the Cullens for leaving in NM and although both Resonating Light and Slips Away started with the intention of eventually being E/B, it wasn't something I could make work. The versions of Bella in those stories changed too much to take Edward back when he eventually showed up. Also since reading peters.kitten's stories, I now have a special love for Peter/Bella pairings.

I was very nervous about posting my first attempt at Fanfiction, but the response I've received is overwhelming and I'm especially grateful to everyone who has reviewed. I didn't know how addictive reviews could be and I love each one. I always read them, try my best to reply and if you make a good suggestion I might incorporate it into the story.

The Canon Tour:

If you've read this much about me, then you already know I love Canon AU so I'm really excited about The Canon Tour. My entry for the Pre-Twilight round is called Sweet Madness, for the Twilight round I wrote Paved With Bad intentions and for the New Moon round I wrote Slips Away. Being a part of the Canon Tour has been so much fun and I enjoyed both writing for it and reading all the other entries. There are some amazing stories by some very talented writers. My very favourite stories:

In progress: Lifelines by TheaJ1. I loved this story from the start and Thea was so good at responding to my reviews that we started PMing each other on a regular basis. I'm now really honoured to beta her recent chapters and she kindly agreed to beta my work as well. I don't know what I'd do without her now!

The Walls of Dreaming by Her Mighty Ubergeekness. It's no secret that I love NMAUs and this one is amazing. Beautifully written, original and the best Esme ever.

Completed: Beyond Time by Tkegl. One of the first that I read and still my favourite.

In the past I've written as I posted and my update schedule was very erratic. I've changed my ways and now won't post anything until I'm sure I can update it regularly and consistently. After a very long break, I'm finally in a position where I can complete Slips Away. Updates will come once or twice a week and it should be complete by the end of the autumn.

I really hope you enjoy my stories, thank you for taking the time to read them.
