Hi all! I'm Lizz. It sure has been a while since I joined this site, and a lot has changed since then, including my interests, fandoms, etc.
While I always like to remain optimistic and think I'll miraculously find the time and inspiration I used to have, in reality I unfortunatley don't think you'll be seeing much of me anymore. But, who knows, maybe I'll be able to post a drabble every once in a blue moon!
Although I'm not really active anymore, I still am happy to recieve reviews, especially ones that contain constructive criticism! I still love to write, and seeing any sort of critique, no matter if it's on my very first story or most recent, is helpful as I continue this craft and evolve my style!
Thank you to all who have supported me, favorited/followed my stories, reached out to me in PM's, etc. You meant the world to me as an eager seventh-grader trying to find a place to put all her ideas down, and you continue to hold a special place in my heart :)
Best of writing to all,
Just some blurbs about each story individually to possibly help you learn a bit more and figure out what suits your interests
(* represents a completed fic)
*Changing the Past: My first story on this site, and I'll even venture to say the first story to use the prompt "Claire survives the time-machine explosion". It got a surprisingly good response and still gets the occasional random review/favorite/story subscription (eventhoughthisstoryiscompletewhichitsaysinthesummarybutohwell) every once in a blue moon. If I'm being honest, the writing and characterization definitely has some room for improvement, and the plot itself is a little scattered, but all in all for a first go I like to think it's not too shabby! If you want to read my original first fic, this is the one for you.
Changed: This was my first "drama" story. I think I might have gone a little bit heavy-handed, but such is the way of an angsty teen writer. If your looking for some soap-opera style stuff take a look.
*600 Words of Luke: People were writing different drabble series. I'm susceptible to peer pressure. I started my own drabble series. It became one of my more popular stories. Look through it for short, drabbley goodness that may or may not have stories based on events that have happened to me...
Professor Layton and the Case of L.I.V.E: I wanted to try my hand at mystery, so this is that attempt. It's got a few OC's that at the time I was very fond of, and a few scenes I had a lot of fun exploring and writing as I tried to figure out how to set the atmosphere. I would have liked to finish this, but I think I had too many plot twists for my little mind to handle at the time. But,if you need more incentive to check this out, it contains murder. Who doesn't love a good murder every few chapter or so?
*Deceptively Delicious: My first one shot story...that also contains the tiniest bit of fluff. It may make you hungry afterwards, so read with caution.
*In The Name of Business: Just a little something to read if you're looking for some romantic variation. And by variation I mean some good ol' M/M pairings. To this day I consider it a cliffy oneshot.
*So About Your Mother: My first fic for the No. 6 fandom. The prompt for the story fell into my head when I first learned that one of the characters in the series had a dog for a mother. A female dog. See where I'm goin' with this? No? Am I just annoying you with confusing hints? Lovely. Anywhoo, It's humorous, and if you enjoy a story in which there is much bickering over a miss-communicated question then I suggest you give it a peek.
*Of Candy, Conundrums, and Compromises: Okay, technically I suppose this could be considered a two-shot, but the second chapter is a bonus chapter so no, shush, it's a one-shot. This story explains why Aunt Taffy from the PL fandom only sells candy to children.
*The Masked Tool: A cracky fic dealing with a scene in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. There's really no way to explain it, so I suggest simply reading and going along long with whatever's written. My sleep deprived brain produces strange things sometimes.
*Ascot: Tumblr made me do it. A (very) short and sad fic inspired by a picture of Luke and Layton.
*Headlines From a Fugitive Boy in Blue: My attempt at a more mature style of writing with a complex plot. I never managed to finish this as a fic, but I am still currently using this idea and working on making it an original piece! overall, I'd say this is my favorite work I've published here.
Curious Happenings series: A collection of stories dealing with little aspects of the Professor Layton world that are strange, and yet no one ever seems to comment on them. All stories listed below are part of this series.
-*Every Puzzle Has an Answer Dance: My 10th story published (which I think is an accomplishment) *confetti and balloons rain down* It's taken me six years and a comment from a friend who isn't even in the PL fandom to realize that no one in the games ever seems to notice that the way Layton and friends solve puzzles is not normal.
-*Will Solve For Picarats: Layton wakes Luke up at a very early hour to teach him about the most important numerical system of puzzle solving: picarats.
