 Author has written 26 stories for Harry Potter, and Sherlock. Greetings! I'm a businesswoman by day, an aspiring writer by night. I live in the Midwest and travel frequently. The kids are grown and keep boomeranging back home, so at any given time I may or may not have one of them poking around at my computer trying to see what I'm up to. I've been publishing fanfic since November, 2010. You'll find all of my Harry Potter Harry/Severus mentor and friendship fic here, though I also write Harry/Severus slash, Sherlock BBC (Johnlock) and other pairings, and participate in Harry Potter fandom fests on AO3 and Dreamwidth. My fiction runs from PG to M/NC-17 (though no MA fic on this site), so please read the ratings and any author notes before reading. Feel free to drop me a PM if you feel so inclined. I appreciate signed reviews though allow anonymous ones. Most, but not all, of my stories are on AO3 under my "suitesamba" penname. Please read warnings before diving in. I'm on Tumblr as suitesamba, but mainly follow Sherlock over there. I'm also suitesamba on Dreamwidth and on Tumblr. My mentor story "Moment of Impact" is by far my most popular piece, though it was one of the first things I wrote and posted in the HP fandom. It has four sequels, and two vignettes, plus a fifth sequel in progress as of summer 2022. Feel free to private message me - I don't check this account more than every couple months generally, but will definitely respond to PMs. December, 2017 I've posted some Harry/Severus (slash) stories with a Teen rating today on this site, all of them previouisly posted on AO3. And I'm working on two more things - a series of MOI vignettes and getting Tuesdays with Severus put on AO3 so it can be downloaded along with the other works in the series as a PDF. Chapters are being reviewed and beta'd now to get rid of the errors I never found. Finally, I had the pleasure of having one of my Snarry (Harry/Severus) fics, Scars, selected for Francesca Coppa's "Fanfiction Reader." The book, published by the University of Michigan press, was published earlier this year and is available on Amazon. It's an anthology, presented in a format similar to the Canterbury Tales, and is intended for academic studies and contains fanworks from multiple fandoms and features introductions to each story. I use the pseudonym "Suitesamba" in that anthology. The book garnered a favorable review in the New Yorker so congrats to Prof. Coppa and to all the contributors. January 23, 2018 Tuesdays with Severus is now being posted on AO3 under my suitesamba account. Note that there will be three "chapters" (of about 7-8 chapters each) and Chapters 1 - 7 are up now. The rest will be up by the end of the day. June 29, 2022 I'd decided to retire from fanfic writing but turned to an old favorite, my Moment of Impact series, to get through some stressful times. "The Cornerstone" takes place approximately 13 years after "Tuesdays with Severus." It's here and on AO3 for interested readers. |
